Just had a listen to the track.

I terms of relating music and sounds to the art i think it was fairly effective. Listening to that minimalistic synth while staring at that wierd metalic head did give me the creeps. The last 10 -15 seconds of the track were probably the creepiest, with those distorted voices breaking the silence on and off.



In terms of looking at this as a standalone track, i think we all have to agree it is fairly 'meh'. It is just a minimalistic deep synth with a simple beat that just goes on and on and on, and than it stops. Nothing to write home about realy. If you heard it on the radio or in the club, you probably wouldn't pay much attention or remember it.



I dont think we should look at this as some sort of a new track, but simply a cool piece of music accompanyng art.

I prefer Swiper to be honest.

I can understand the poor bitrate, but why isn't it in stereo? Mono = shit. Missing alot of elements in mono.

This think smells b-side all over it... I'm sure the first single to come off of the next album will have this as a b-side.



I think it's a good track but I can easilly see why there is a divide... But if more people are for this song on this forum than they were for golden path came out then I might rip off a chunk of my hair.



Guess the way I see it is you have to look at this as less of a chems track and more as what the title says, "chemical brothers vs jacob epstein." It really comes down to the brothers playing out a song with what they interpreted epstein's emotion/mind must've been in when he created and put into this great piece of art. Therefore it's not really going to be made in the same spirit as a track like Surface to Air, which more reflects Tom & Ed.

cool track... but to be honest i don't think this will feature on any of there releases.



it was a specific collaboration between art and sound. they got asked to choose a peice of artwork from the tate and write some music for it. great idea on the Tates behalf!



but i think thats all it will be.

Trying to get my head round this one...think it might grow on me (as chems' tracks normally do).



I don't think it would work as an album track (which it probably won't be) but I think it would rock in a club or live show.
