I suck at marvel vs capcom, but I love watching people at the movies play this. Now street fighter on the other hand, I'm absolutely vicious with Vega.

I can't stop playing F1 2010. But it's a bit boring now. I put the AI at the most difficule mode and still beats them by 2 to 5 seconds per lap...

Except of course when I miss a turn and miserably crash in a wall or another car.

Wow, I completely forgot about Dust up Beats and Under The Influence - shame on me. Thanks for the reminder :)

I blanked out wip3out's music a bit - not because it was bad, I just found got annoying faster than the other 2 games! It even made me get a bit sick of Under The Influence :(

Now I listen back to Sasha's stuff on Wipeout 3 I don't mind it as much but at the time I wasn't too into it. It's funny how your tastes change- they're technically brilliant tracks.

I will always have a soft spot for the Cold Storage tunes over everything in the Wipeout series.

Yeah, Wip3out's soundtrack wasn't the greatest. It was too in-your-face-repetitive and not intense like Wipeout 2097 or otherworldly like Wipeout 1. But some of the tracks were good, especially Sasha's Icarus - very tasty tune.

CoLD SToRAGE is ace. The Wipeout 1 OST is wonderful. The stuff he did for Wipeout 2097 (both the PS1 version and the PC copy) is brilliant too. It's too bad the pretty much threw him under the bus after that. I read in an interview that they promised him a spot on the 2097 soundtrack CD, and ended up not including him at all, putting tracks on that weren't even in the game. At least the let him return for Pure with Onyx, kick awesome track.

I remember reading this :(

Onyx is a great track, it's like a trip back to the first game.

Wipeout 1 really influenced my musical tastes in a big way, I don't think I could say that about much these days

I have a soft spot for Body in Motion. Simplicity at its best, such a mesmerising track. I can happily play it on loop for hours :)

and now I stop before I take this thread too far off topic. Thanks for the memories :)

Thanks to this thread's activity the past few days, my hands and wrists are sore from indulging in Wipeout HD on a lazy Sunday afternoon. I love driving through those candied-electric urban landscapes listening to Further. It's the perfect game and the perfect soundtrack...

WTF mature 17+ ? Shouldn't it be 18+ ?

By the way Duke 3D is also my favotrite vidoe game of all time (I spent like half of my life on it) but I'm not so excited about the release of DNF cause after all these years of waiting it still could be disappointing :/ By the way why the fuck did they put The Prodigy's Invaders Must Die in the trailer ? I know the title of the song is really appropriate but the trailer should fucking have the Duke Nukem theme ! (Grab-Bag).

Escape Velocity is perfect for the zone mod. It seems to be created for that ^^

To be honest I've always preferred REALLY original Sound tracks (like The Duke Nukem 3D or Beetle Adventure Racing ones) that ST's which compilate tracks from various artists.

Isn't US 17 equal to European 18?

The Original MIDI-Sound or the Megadeth-Version?

A brand new version ! As long as it keeps the melody... the Megadeth version is more than 10 years old, I'd prefer something new.

What an unreal trailer.

I'm kinda looking forward to Deep Black. Hopefully it'll be a half decent game mainly underwater.
