I don't like not being able to see who started a topic, just the last poster.

it was the apostrophe in your username that messed up moving the account over - you and 11 others. We're going to bring those over on monday - it cant before then (sorry! - not our doing) So then you'll get all your posts back and it'll be alright. have a fine weekend.

Legs, you rock!!! I'm so glad you'll be getting this worked out - we really appreciate it. I would be so sad if my hubby couldn't post here anymore. This forum has become our weekday life line when we're at work, and with stash gone who would bugger Darkstarexodus??
Just kiddin'!

I'm not really a fan of the new site layout either, although some of the features have promise. The recipes and links and certainly cool and the ability to add photos and memories is great. The GoogleEarth functionality of the Live section is neat, too. I'm sure I'll get used to it all with time but the initial impression isn't that great (and I'm the optimist around here!)

I don't think we're seeing the final version, either. As legaskimbo said, some things are going to be worked out on Monday and I'm sure user functionality is on the menu maybe not immediately, but soon.
I agree the forum layout will take some getting used to, it is a bit daunting being so used to one format and having that world turned upside down. Functionality improvements are likely (I can't think of a good reason why they wouldn't be), and IMO the whole website now (forum aside) is a lot more inviting, colorful, clever, humorous, more intimate and chock full o'goodies than the old Chems sites before. But yeah, ironing out the kinks with the forum - it takes time and I can be patient.
I'm so pleased our old posts are in place and the content was saved as that was a major concern not too long ago.
And no spam!!!!

Definetly am glad that the old threads were saved and that legsakimbo is around and active. Don't want to get too negative right now because there's some good signs. Hopefully things will pull together over the next week or two and this'll start to feel like home again.
