It's funny, my son (who is fascinated with Russia at the moment thanks to some video games and some online friends) was asking yesterday if the Chemical Brothers have ever played in Russia!

I'm glad to see some love for Russia and the Chems getting some love back!

Is "Ice palace" in St. Petersburg but not in Moscow?

It's a cool, but Russia is not only Moscow & St.Petersburg. I want to see Chems live, but i can't. The reason - i'm far away from the capital.

The distances:

And that is just only Yekaterinburg, a city that is relatively close to Moscow. And what about other cities? Transport in our country is very, very expensive.
It's not fair..

I can't! I repeat. Transport costs 3 times more expensive than a ticket to gig.
I know one chemical fan, he lives in Vladivostok. That is a 9364 km from Moscow.

yeah c'mon but given that arguement the chemicals need to play literally everywhere (in terms of regions) in the world to please their fans, which would be just impossible. it is also a question of money. 10.000 km of course is massively far. but maybe that guy could go to one of the US gigs! should not be as far.
love is all.

ps. when I saw the chems in cologne years back, I had to travel 8 hours each direction, paying a total of about 120 euros for travel and the ticket was less than 40. think of all those that have travelled to england from anywhere in europe to see them. it is possible,if you just really want to.
love is all.

Looking forward to seeing this show get back 'on the horse'! I'm pretty sure that the setup will be doubled, or even tripled check to make sure everything goes well without a hitch!

To those who are going, I wish you an awesome experience!

A simple outing to a concert can quickly turn into an expensive holiday whenever there's travel involved. Not all of us have the luxury of a bottomless wallet and tons of time to spare from our jobs (and family - as much as my husband likes the Chems he has made it known that me just hopping off to wherever like a stark raving fangirl to see Tom and Ed is NOT OK). Apart from travel costs, there's food and accommodations lodging that must be considered. I don't know your personal circumstances or your family life, Explud - but I do hope that Lady Luck smiles on you, and by change of fate you may find yourself in a position to go see the Chems.

inchem - Amen and hear hear to what you said!

Sometimes I do feel like a raving fanboy, but Jim's right! My time has passed, and its time to enjoy the shows in a less sweaty way (except when SG, CB, and that damn encore comes on! )

I feel Explud's situation in a sort of way! It's the traveling that brings the cost up. Hope you can find a way soon to see T and E!

I usually plan at least 6 months if I'm gonna do any traveling!

But then again, some of us feel compelled to go immediately to a show regardless of finances, or how far the show is.

Thanks for your support! ))

Btw, Chems were invited to our city, by the "Tele-Club", but the Chems or their manager said they have no dates to make gig in our city.
I think it's more guilt by "Tele-Club", because they made a request too late.

And i all understand, chems are not super endurant.
Looking at the graph "Live" I'm so shocked.. "..how Chems do not get tired from so many shows?..". Sometimes I even feel compassion for them.

And all, who goes to the concert, I really wish you great fun! ;)
