If you could choose anyone (dead or alive) for the Chemical Bros. to collaborate with, vocally or musically, who would it be...?
Me: Damon Albarn
Beck
Nick Drake
Chali 2na from Jurassic 5

Hi Benjani, good topic imo!
Yeah, Beck would be superb, but the chems are pushing the new up and coming artists/bands...in 96, already esablished Noel Gallagher from Oasis, Beth Orton an underachiever in my opinion...right through to Bloc Party and Kele, and the Magic Numbers...
I'd got into a metal/rock band from the states from my mate called filter, the lead singer has such a poweful and ranging voice, I would love to see hi work with the Chems, because he worked so well with THe Crystal Method track 'Trip Like I do' back in 99.
Also Lisa Gerrard who sings a lot of the Gladiator soundtrack, she's got a beautiful voice.
But Tom n Ed are masters at the collab's , they know who's Mustard.

I've mentioned Lisa Gerrard before whenever collab topics have been brought up on the board. I'd love to hear what the Chems could do with her imput. I like your style, VMan - you really ought to check out Dead Can Dance. Her vocals are sublime and so is the music.

Sure thang, VMan - thanks for the compliment. I keep meaning to check out everyone's tracks in that thread but I keep getting sidetracked. There's a bit of talent here... I will make a conscious effort to be more involved in that thread!
And I'll check out The Silver Tree. I'm not very familiar with Lisa Gerard's solo stuff but given that I like Dead Can Dance, I'll give it a shot.

Has to be Igor Stavinsky! He was the musical genius of his generation, breaking new ground, unsettling the establishment, moving music in a new direction... When one of his early works was first played in a Paris theatre, almost 100 years ago, there was a riot, punters punching each other out in their love and hatred for the Rite of Spring, as the piece was called. Now that's the sort of passion music should bring...
