I have about 600 cd's, 25 pieces of vinyl (thanks mom and dad - I'll be back for more later when you aren't looking, there's a great Martin Denny one I want to "borrow" hehe) and close to 400 cassettes. And good god, shitloads of U2 stuff.

I am still trying to get every cassette I own onto disc, since I never listen to my cassettes anymore.

Considering I've worked in a record store on and off for over 10 years, I should have more cd's, but I don't. I've also gotten rid of a lot of cd's, mostly during the first couple years of my marriage when I was flat out broke and needed money. I am picky, and don't have cd's for the sake of having them - I only want stuff that I know I'll listen to whether it be a year down the line or once a day or once a week.

As far as Chemical Brothers stuff, it's pretty filled out but not complete by a long shot. The collection keeps growing as I see fit or when I have money.

I think chris and ElectronicBattleWarrior are two more of the biggie collectors on this board.

Yeah, marrige isn't worth parting way with cd's. There are sacrifices and there are sacrifices.

@Whirly: you really must love that guy !!!!!

@Jeanie: Scary he what you can find out about some persons on the internet!!!!

All you need is the place they live and some additional info.

Sometimes a MSN name comes in handy or an e-mail adress.

If you go to the right search engines you can learn a lot about people on the internet.

On the net is a lot of info about the people using the internet.

And getting that info is very very simple. 8O

But don't be scared I don't gonna expose you anymore.

Got my own conclusions - biggest factor was numerous hospital bills, plus other things like shitty roommates, unstable job wages, etc. etc. but I won't bore y'all with the mundane details of my life as it was almost 10 years ago.

I will say this. The first year and a half of marriage was very very difficult financially, as it usually is when two naive kids live for today and run off and have a shotgun wedding! ;) I wouldn't trade back those cd's for the world. The experience alone, at the very least, makes for a great story!

I haven't been here for a long time and then I read this.

But it's true:

chems related: 60 cd's and 50 vinyl AND (new) 2 minidiscs

prodigy related: 50 cd's and 40 vinyl

Anyway, Jeanie welcome. Always nice to see new dutch fans. You will find the biggest Chem nutters here :D I am proud to say I am one of them!!

as the discussion goes on chems collections seemed to be lost in the midst of other stuff, I only recently started collecting chems stuff about two months ago and my collection is nearing thirty cds ,a few tapes and thats about it. I was shocked how easy it is to get chems stuff in dublin. my next aim is to get rarer singles and the all important remixes but I would say this is the difficult part.
