why you here so often? i mean i appreciate you letting us in on all your news etc. and wish you were here more often. but i dont remember you doin it so often back in PTB days.

more importantly, i think you should stick around and get to know us all, its a small community here so its not like your gonna be bombarded with annoying questions... then again, talking about your own band on your own bands forum is kinda lame...

i love you also, send some back :)

I'm jealous. I wanted Ed all to myself.

Seriously though, let's not discourage Ed from coming around. Please. God, you're treating him like a newb! X-D

Quick - flame him!!!! X-D

It would be cool if he joined in more conversation when he's got a moment but then again it's pretty sweet he takes the time to post when he does - I mean he doesn't have to, but he does anyway and that's cool of him - it's an extra added bonus to go along with the music and what we have going on here as it is.

I bet he knows quite a lot about everyone judging by what is posted here... It's only fair figuring we can know a lot about them by their music as well as any interviews we read or listen to.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

haha I have been shouted at so many times for obsessing over mixing while still writing and recording.

'you can get the sweetest synth sound later!'

'cant we at least finish one fucking bar?'

'jesus it sounded perfect last week, stop tweaking that damn hi-hat.'

and a million variants.

I love that Ed is dropping by a few times. I wouldn't say much in comparison to us :-// ... but he's giving props to us and was able to drop the tong news rather than us finding out the next day... really a cool thing he's doing, plus telling us what Dub is cooking, chick, lamb, seriously is it a part of his agreement to cook or is he just a nice guy?

Ed's definetly a friendly guy and up for a chat, based on NYE last year, and as much as I love hearing the news regarding the tunes, it's really neat to get to know a little more about how things are going personally for him and Tom and the associated peeps like Dub and their friends like Justin and Erol.

I especially love the food updates: it's like he's taking the piss out of us for the good-natured sandwich jokes over the last couple years (or he really DOES love his food; either way! X-D ).

I would never want to pry into their lives and know anymore than they would want us to, but having a personal connection with people you respect so much is gratifying. For both parties, I would imagine.

Totally agree, i think its great they drop by here every now and again to answer questions on DJ set lists and stuff, it shows they care which is more than can be said for most other acts. It also means the fanbase cares too, this place is probably the most healthy and friendly fan forum I've ever seen

Of course it helps that the Chems write consistanly great music, it means there's little to argue over.

Long may it continue.

I like the way things are around here, I think its amazing that Ed being apart of something so big would come on here and talk to us fans and I think thats something to appreciate, totally.

Also, Im sure Ed and Tom know what theyre doing in the studio theyve only done if for about 15 years or so let them handle that :P

HAHAHA X-D

Yeah Ed , in case you didn't know yet , apperently we have a secret relationship X-D

But yeah it's wicked Ed takes the time to get involved.

As said before - He's a wicked person ( And so is Tom ) and very cool to talk to.

The fans have always been very important to them - As Ed said last NYE , he checks the board very often because it is very important for them to see what we think about their shows , their songs , their albums , everything.

Reason why i love the Chems so much is offcourse because of their music - but also because the people who make music that changed my life are easily some of the wickedest people ive met.

WHoohoo!

Erol Alkan is also really good about stopping by his forums from time to time.

I know on at least one occasion someone on the board was asking if anyone had a download link for one of Erol's radio sets and the next post was Erol offfering a direct link himself. Pretty solid guy as far as I'm concerned.
