The Golden Path is awesome but the vocals are sometimes a bit out of tune and whiny, esp. 'Please forgive me I never meant to hurt you'. Apart from that, I love it.

Yeah, it's supposed to be "out of tune", those vocals are awesome! Am I right when I say that it is Drozd who sings that line or is that Coyne aswell?

Wall, I think you're right, it is Drozd who sings back up on Golden Path. I loved the song from the start.


I really dig the Flaming Lips, too. I think The Soft Bulletin is a gorgeous, sentimental and psychedelic album that can be depressing, but life affirming at the same time. The song Feeling Yourself Disintegrate carried me through rough waters once...
