. One cool thing about fabric though, is laughing at the newbies as they struggle to figure out how to wash their hands in the toilets! X-D

Does anyone have a picture of these magical, n00b-confusing toilets? Or perhaps a run-down of how they work for those of us that haven't been to Fabric but may enjoy the fruits of its offerings sometime in the future without being seen as a struggling-hand-washing-Fabric-n00b?

whirly....fear not - there'll be no toilet based blushing for you on a trip to fabric....basically....

there's a modern or should that be minimal? hand basin.....you press a foot pedal to make the water come out.....hence those visiting for the first time/twatted people are often seen standing with dry hands while everyone else gets on with hand washing etc....it's not obvious...

there are no signs....no taps....just confusion

consider yourself warned ;-)

It's also weird as the toilets are communal. Well, the basin area is and there aren't any doors seperating the toilet area from the basin area

lol don't worry whirly, we've all gone through the embarrassment in the fabric loos, its all part of the 'experience' X-D

But believe me people, if/when you live in London, you'll eventually tire of going to places like Fabric and learn that there's better stuff going on in your own back yard, so to speak. You just have to look a little deeper ;)

Thanks for the hand-washing heads up, all! X-D I'd like to visit Fabric one of these days... these days... these days... days... days... I've heard so many good things about it. I'm sort of strange when it comes to club toilets, have this sort of subconscious prerequisite of them having to be clean and in good working condition.

I can see where you're coming from. That being said, I really do think every clubber has a responsibility to check out clubs like Fabric and Turnmills at least once or twice to set a standard of comparison. The familiarity and homey feeling of that special club at home is great, but Fabric does, in my opinion at least, deserve its reputation.

(I love my local favourite club, even though I'm lucky to hear more than 25 minutes of house a night. Great crowds, decent DJ, cheap booze, hot girls, friends with the security. I'm happy.)

I think Fabric serves its purpose well, and I take my hat off to the guys that run it. But there really are much better nights going on around the country and it can be frustrating from a promoter's point of view when clubbers don't look beyond the 'big nights'.

That said, I wonder if the underground scene would be as healthy as it is now if everyone abandoned the big clubs and headed to the smaller parties all the time X-D

Can you offer any recommmendations or are you talking places that are strictly 'inner circle' only? I like Fabric becasue I like deep house and clubs with a sense of adventure. Turnmills too I really appreciate. There are a few of the more noteworthy clubs that I have yet to go too though such as Pacha, SeOne and some of the ones around Kings Cross.

What do people here like?

Greetings to all!

Desperately seeking shows of the holy party brothers this summer throughout Europe. In need of intense dance vibes; don't seem to find an agenda: no summer gigs in 2006?

Who can enlighten me?

Many thanks from Belgium

Hallo Belgie!!

I think you came a little too late , no shows are planned as far as i know....no live shows for sure. Dj sets , dont think so.

Make sure you check the board regulary because if there are any new dj set dates this is the place to know it first !!
