WoW

Finally made the effort to check out 'Children of Men', and I'm more then happy I did.

I know awards really dont mean shit. But how it didn't even get nominated for best film (oscars), is beyond me. Fuckin Pisses me off.

The whole escape from the uprising scene was incredibly intense. When they were carrying the baby out of the dismanteled building past the soldiers and everything/everyone went silent. That was a thing of beauty.

Anywho, It's certainly the best film I've seen in a while.

A+

Yeah, that's an amazzing flick.

We watched Ratatouille last weekend, good fucking movie. I love it when they manage to make a CGI flick that has actual heart and soul.

Yeah, Children of Men is one of my favorite movies. The long-shot uncut sequences were amazing, made you hold your breath, and that scene with the mother holding her baby as she's walking past those refugees and soldiers jerk those tears right out of me every time. Awards ceremonies are subject to favoritism and red tape and all of that, but it can only be a positive thing when a movie gets a nod at the academy. Children Of Men got robbed at the Oscars. I was disappointed it didn't get the recognition I felt it deserved.

I've seen Control tonight. Definitely not a movie to see on a sunday night when you've just spent the week end with your best friend and that you have to get back to normal life the next day.

Very disturbing...

a buddy of mine brought me his laptop, which had several movies on it. I did a keanu reeves recap -- watched the matrix 1 and 2, constantine, and johnny mnemonic. and I realized somethign. besides reeves is a pretty bad actor, he also has the same tshirt and trenchcoat look in all of them.
