Your Daily Dose Of Chemical

The doctors prescription beats: consume 1 amazing piece of Chemical brothers music / day. Please restrain yourself and keep it to one track that you will share with your brothers and sisters. As only one track can be shared, make sure you log in early if you have a favourite you'd like to feature. Shouldn't be hard to pick one, as there is such a wealth of "good chemicals": singles, B-sides, live takes, soundtracks, edits, EBW's, etc.) As long as it features at least 50% of the chems it'll suffice as the medicine we'd so desperately need.
Extra: feel free to elaborate why you've chosen this track and the memories / emotions that are evoked by this piece of art.
To start it of:
Day 1 - We Are The Night
Why: There is so much happening in this track: the wierdest bleeps, bass grooves, evolving bell sounds, psychedelic chaos, creepy vocals and tortued synthesizers. This track is one of their best works IMO. I love how they have managed to create such a dark atmosphere with such bright and lush tones. An underestimated track from an underestimated album!

Okay great piece of music here. Good pick to start this thread I must say. To me this song should have been played more live but was only included in the WATN tour. There is one badass recording of this on which the buildup takes you to another dimension. Only complaint is the bass, it could have been heavier and the bell synth is pretty much throughout the track which could have been switched in the middle with something else as the lead.Great concept, could have been executed a little better.

This is the type of thing that makes us all Chemical Brother addicts. We fall in the love with the original studio cut, but once we hear how it's reformatted in a live setting, our minds get blown.
On this particular track, I absolutely love how they stretch and chop the vocal to no end. It is teased throughout the whole length of the track, and is never completed in it's true form.
Additionally, there is some incredible energy packed into this song. It's Chaotic and Loud at times, but never discouraging. A delightful thrill ride for you ears.

Got to say I absolutely hate what they did to Noel's voice with the live version of this. I've never bothered buying TPSR as a single because, unless I'm mistaken you get the album version of the Reel (already had the album by the time this came out), you get a crappy little poster and you get this live thing with Noel's vocals chopped up beyond belief. It just sounds like butchery to me, and it goes on for ages. My least favourite chems thing ever. I like the original version of Setting Sun just fine though.

I always preferred the 96 performances, which had the original percussion from the song instead of the drum machine driven stuff they used from 97 onward. But this performance is great for possibly being the tweakiest performance of Setting Sun ever, the outros and intro are crazy.

Day 3 - Star Guitar (Shinichi Osawa remix)
This track is just fun and gives Star Guitar more balls. Not better, but different. I love the energy of this one.

You know they say you should respect people's opinions and shit but yours just fucking sucks dude. The cut up vocals fit perfectly with the mood of the track, ACID RAGE! Listen to it again.

bits of the original remind me of New Order, that version reminds me of them even more.

Bought this in '08 on vinyl. It was released as a cover version rather than a remix. Xfm's Eddy Temple Morris played it a lot and declared it better than the original. I don't know if it's better than the original but I do like it a lot.

Look, I can understand how one might find the vocal a bit grating. But this isn't a sing along. The vocal is used as an effect (as it should be in electronic music). The driving force is the grimy and acidy beat that takes you on an exhilarating experience.
