I seen some French Film - BenJ you'd probably know it, I dont know the names or directors or anything but its called L'Enfant and it was released in 2005.

Part of the course at French A/S Level. It was a wierd movie about scumbag french man selling his new born baby on the black market from some coin, then getting it back and trying to get the money back for the people on the black money who he lost money for.

The ending was so funny - Wasnt supposed to be, but it was just him and his girlfriend crying at the end, and it just.. Ended, just like that no aftermath or anything just BLACK SCREEN... credits. Everyone busted out laughing.

copy pastin from another forum i posted on a few weeks back. it's meant for a diff audience whatever i wrote. but if u haven't seen these films, n if u think u'll like em, do check em out.

Had randomly picked up both the films without any idea and both turned out fantastic.

13 conversations about one thing is slightly slower, and more subtle, with the mssg of the film being a bit openended, but made loadsa sense. Infact it "might" come out dull for a lot of people. I tried watchin it on friday night late when i was very tired, n i had to switch it off half n hr into the film i thought it was so dull. Watchin with a fresh mind yesterday, I found it pretty good. Very subtle, but drives a very openended mssg home. Highly recommend it. The cinematography is beautiful.

Roger Dodger was fuckin brilliant. Absolutely loved this film, and gonna get a copy sometime. Highly recommend it, fast paced, very witty and very very sharp, kinda wakes u up n hits u in the face kind of comdey. The acting by both the leads is superb, n so is the fast paced tight script n direction with no mush anywhere, tho the film could have exploited using a lot. No wonder it won quite a few independent awards for this first time director. I've heard the dvd's doin the rounds of the pirated market too, grab it if u see it and if u like u'r comedies sharp, swift n brilliantly witty.

My favourite recent movie has got to be The Departed. Brilliant in every aspect. Gotta love Jack.

Watched the Kill Bill duology over the last few nights, 45 minutes at a time. Saw the first one in theatre before but had never seen the second.

I really enjoyed the set, although I prefer the first to the second. I am really interested in mythologies and find that Tarantino is very good at establishing distinct milieus for his characters to exist in.

Vol. 2 got a little bogged down at times, but some parts were simply fantastic.

I still need to sit down and watch those back to back.

I just finished reading '300', I found a scan of it online. Fucking awesome. It's only 76 megs, I'll see if I can upload it somewhere and I'll post a link. Beats paying $30 for the book.

Was not aware of that but I can see that working rather well, much like the Animatrix.

Here's a link to the entire '300' comic, I suggest everyone read it, that way when the movie comes out you can be all superior and say 'Oh yeah, I read the comic, it's way better than the movie' and generally be a right wanker.

Looks like New Line have held back "The Hobbit" from Peter Jackson and Co. because of some dumbarse lawsuit.

Several years ago, Mark Ordesky told us that New Line have rights to make not just The Hobbit but a second "LOTR prequel", covering the events leading up to those depicted in LOTR. Since then, we've always assumed that we would be asked to make The Hobbit and possibly this second film, back to back, as we did the original movies. We assumed that our lawsuit with the studio would come to a natural conclusion and we would then be free to discuss our ideas with the studio, get excited and jump on board. We've assumed that we would possibly get started on development and design next year, whilst filming The Lovely Bones. We even had a meeting planned with MGM executives to talk through our schedule.

However last week, Mark Ordesky called Ken and told him that New Line would no longer be requiring our services on the Hobbit and the LOTR 'prequel'. This was a courtesy call to let us know that the studio was now actively looking to hire another filmmaker for both projects.

Ordesky said that New Line has a limited time option on the film rights they have obtained from Saul Zaentz (this has never been conveyed to us before), and because we won't discuss making the movies until the lawsuit is resolved, the studio is going to have to hire another director.

That's just a really, really, really, really, really fecking pathetic attitude by New Line.

I've seen that in a store once. Then I looked for it on the internet, but to no avail.
