This festival sounds like it will be amazing, and with the last Chems show for the year to top it off! Awesome, have fun Buffett.
Further Remixed There's nothing else...

Well now, the Chems took to the stage at 12.36am and finished at 2.09am.Along with Arcade Fire who preceded them they free the biggest crowd of the festival.A few sound problems for AF not so the Chems.
There were a lot of shiny smiley happy people in attendance but no hassle whatsoever.Quite a few flares in the crowd too which looked great.
Tom and Ed seemed in great form throughout, Ed out front a LOT even for him waving and taking the crowds applause. The show seemed to follow the established setlist as per this tour.Highlights for me were Star Guitar, the Saturate/Believe mash up of which the incredible vilified up and eventual release in Believe was still as spine tingling as ever, I thought Don't Think was immense, even though a lot of the festival crowd wouldn't have known it they were totally into it from the start, Escape Velocity too was powerful.
Have to hand it to the boys, they never fail to deliver and as I said before, Mr and Mrs Chemical must be very proud of them!
Perfect star filled night for the show too which was very welcome. All in all, a terrificly enjoyable night.Well done Tom and Ed and thanks.

For Whirly, Andy McCluskey and OMD were unbelievable.Opened with Enola Gay,went through Talking Loud And Clear,Locommotion,Souvenir,Joan Of Arc, Maid Of Orleans,Forever Live And Die,etc etc and finished with Electricity all at 100 miles an hour.McCluskey danced like a mad thing throughout in a totally cheesy fashion, as he freely admitted, but you just had to smile.Musically too they sounded incredible,so fresh and vibrant considering it was all from the 80s.The big tent was rammed with about 3000 people who gave them a terrific reception, the band seemed genuinely taken aback by it which only made McCluskey fly around the stage even more!Hopefully there will be some You Tube in the coming days.Have no doubles in saying OMD were the highlight of the weekend (if we exclude the Chems for reasons of bias).
Wonderful show.
Wonderful show.

That's awesome, Buffett! I'm really happy to hear the crowd were warm toward OMD and they were warm to the crowd in return. Seems like a lineup such as this would draw a good crowd. I love that all the shiny happy people were out to give Tom and Ed the end-of-tour send off... Ed has always been more the MC of the shows, wandering from his gear to get the crowd going. This has been such a fantastic tour to watch and it's been so cool seeing it evolve from the Roundhouse shows right up to the end. There have been so many highlights, tried-and-true gig staples, highlights and unexpected surprises. I can't believe it's come to a close but I'm excited for what's in store!
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

Buffett, thanks big time for the great reviews. I'm even more sorry now that I could not make it to Ireland (even tho I have been on a holiday for the past 2 weeks...). Glad you've enjoyed the festival and I hope we'll meet some time, maybe next year or so
love is all.
