There were times when it was either starve or pawn off cd's. Granted a good lot of them weren't regular listening cd's but still. It was hard.
So happy to have those days behind us.

would love to come mips but going to essex at weekend, let me know if you play any clubs in the south. Theres a club in Bognor called Mud Club, have a few names there now and then, be cool if you played there.

well if acid and chem go to bristol to another kingpin party some time count me in.
ha!! a few month back my makoosa partner and another friend played down there. it was a saturday night and before the main club night they had a strip night in the early evening. my mate was told to play certain tracks for the girls to perform their routines to. to make the routines a bit more intresting my mate keep looping the tracks up, so instead of the track lasting 3 or 4 mintues they were lasting twice as long. i think he got into a bit of trouble but not as much trouble as the girls who were having to go into extra time without revealing too much!!
did that club used to be the emipire a few years back?? i remember going down there a few years back. i remember the locals were very friendly. couldn't buy any beens in that club, they gave them to us free!!

night went well, backroom looked amazing, they had 5 disused telly playin white fizz, and they had a new sub woofer in there as well. everyone dug the tunes, and we had a mad afterparty as well.
all good!
(oh and we got to play nude night as well, and to close we did deltaneckbottleneck stomp mix into lullaby by the cure 8) house!)

Yeah it was orginally called empire. Then it changed names to oceans 11. Then in the summer in changed to mud club and they have tryed to make it more up market. I have a few nights out there ands its not bad. Recentally they have had the likes of Tim Deluxe, Meat Katie, Goldie, Grooverider, Pete Heller and Atomic Hooligan, but its mainly garage played. There is another clubs called 'shieks' which is on the pier opposite where the sudent nights rae held so typically thats where I often go with uni mates.
Yeah be cool for a forum meet up of some sort, even if its not a chemical event. Sneaks and Mips, when you next playing in the south?

we'll prb play bristol again in march, other than that no other gigs planned. :(
theres tentative talk of starting up with a bi weekly or monthly sunday session in brighton - sunday tunes, dubby stuff, punk funk, acid house and electro/electro house, but thats still under investigation at the moment ;)
sneaks, when is the next makoosa? maybe we could head over for that.

I've been impressed several times by the line-ups at the Mud Club though, I reckon we should get organised and head down there at some point :)
