To be honest I think its very ignorant of people to slag others off for not speaking very good English.



I live in a country where people go abroad and expect pretty much everybody there to speak English (I speak a few words of French and thats about it :-//). I admire people who make the effort to speak English here, yes equinoxe24 does not speak it perfectly but so what?

This forum is becoming so weird day by day. equinoxe24 you are welcomed here. Don't let some of the regulars bully you around.

Anyways the damage is done now. btw i think its very cool that more and more people are joining this forum. Adds variety to this site.

I want everyone who has something to say to be a part of the community here, even if they don't think everything the Brothers touch turns to gold. ;)



But tempers are going to run high when there's a disagreement. We're all passionate here. It's nice to be 100% positive 100% of the time but that's unrealisitc. If someone says something and people disagree, discussions go nowhere unless someone calls them on it.



What gets me is the high level of negativity that's been on this forum as of late. I think knee jerk reactions on both sides of the camp are to blame. It really brings this place down. It makes me sad that this thread has gone on for so long while other threads regarding all things that have to do with a record aren't getting as much attention. The level of name calling is ridiculous. It's fine to take the piss once in a while but this is just ridiculous. I can't believe I'm spending so much time responding to it but I just want to let my voice be heard.



I think the least we can do is try and be as civil as possible especially since this is a crucial time - we know at least one Brother reads this forum quite a bit and the reason he does is to get feedback and get an idea of what's going on and what we think - same reason why we read the forum. In essence it's his forum so let's try and be respectful of that and stop with the ridiculous name calling and ethnocentric attitudes already.



Above all I want to talk about all kinds of things from the record, but I like idle talk to what's your favorite sandwich to meeting up with some forumites at Makoosa. It's what makes a community a community.

first: i really apologise for mentioning equinoxe's problem with english as a second language. that was really stupid and childish, i should not have written that as it was too easy to get that wrong. i was not really serious writing this, that's why it's written in small size and with all these mistakes, i should have used the wink icon - of course i do not mind people with bad english; it is my second language as well, doesn't matter that i use it more than my native language. really sorry for that. but: i really mind people posting in their native language as equinoxe did. i've did that once when i should have PMed a german member in here. it's just weird if people post in here in a general topic and you can't understand them.

i've read most of equinoxe's posts very carefully for another time before starting this thread. i even know about language barriers. i knew that starting this one had some danger as we seem to have 2 different camps in here. i am a new member as well but reading this forum for years. that's why i finally decided to join in here. and in the last weeks the atmosphere in here changed a lot.



i still agree with that equinoxe doesn't like the chemical brothers - he obviously only loves one of their albums (without TPPR and Setting Sun), that doesn't make him a real fan in my eyes. we should not forget that tom and ed can ve gods in our eyes but still are humans producing our favourite music. it is the music we love. and tom and ed are -for us as their fans- musicians. if someone doesn't love most of their music he doesn't love them, as musicians.
