yeah well beat this - i was pulled over by a cop last year after i decieded to leave my friend's party when i was sooo under the influence. ;-) he gave me a breathalyzer and i think i blew .9 or .09 i can't remember the correct scale (for measuring how drunk you are). instead of giving me a DUI and taking my license away the cop said "you have been very cooperative, so i will give you MIP (minor in possesion)...",even though i was 18 at the time. so ofcourse i thanked the mother fucker for making my life more miserable.i had to go stuipd AA meetings and had to pay 200 dollar bills and 6 months of mother fuckin probhation.I never felt guilty about it or apologetic to my parents at all.

You are lucky indeed. And sadly arrogant which I find a surprise coming from you.

I'm all for getting fucked up, but leave enough brain capacity to excercise some judgment. People under the influence have absolutely no right to be behind the wheel. Get someone else to drive. Drunk driving is illegal for a reason.

Suicide theme park proposed for Hong Kong island

Hong Kong

09 August 2005 10:23

A Hong Kong official said one of the territory's tiny islands could make a killing with a novel theme park based on its unsavoury reputation as a suicide spot, a media report said on Tuesday.

The morbid suggestion to create a ghost-town attraction where guests were dared to spend the night in "haunted flats" came at a meeting of local leaders on little Cheung Chau island.

Councillor Lam Kit-sing said the island should capitalise on the grisly reputation of one of its holiday homes, where 20 people have taken their lives in the past eight years. Another five people attempted suicide there.

Lam believes the macabre park could be an added attraction for the millions of people expected in the city when Hong Kong Disneyland opens in September.

"A dirty spot yesterday will be an attraction tomorrow," he was quoted as saying in the South China Morning Post.

"This is innovative and has a selling point."

The proposal received little support from fellow councillors, the paper said. - Sapa-AFP

Today at work, I received a wallboard for the store. It came from "corporate" which means we have to hang it in a "corporate" mandated slot on the wall.

It's a Crazy Frog poster, and it's 4 feet x 4 feet. It's bright orange, with a sort of starburst effect going on, and it has that nasty blue amphibian sprawled in all it's glory, larger than life.

I screamed "Noooooooooooooo" Darth Vader styleee when I opened up the shipping tube and that nasty shit fell out.

Then I begged my boss "Please don't make me hang this thing. Please for the love of God and all that is left of goodness in the music world, let me throw it away and we'll just tell corporate that we never 'received' it."

He's thinking about it. I told him to get somebody else to hang it. I don't want to be responsible for putting up that shameful wallboard.

Ow lord what a day.

For some reason booking hostels ahead is a nightmare for us.

If they DO have place , u need a fucking creditcard to make the reservation. What's up with all this creditcard nonsens ? I mean , I CHOOSE NOT TO HAVE A CREDITCARD , so i cant book boats , flights , and hostels.

DISCRIMINATION! Hahahaha X-D

But no it's damn frustrating. I just spend the last four hours on the phone asking : Good evening , i'm wondering if u have space for 2 females and if u do , DO WE NEED A CREDITCARD TO MAKE THE RESERVATION ?!

Well , next week we will be allright in Ireland , we just need a slepe over the 18th before dublin and than in England the 20st , but we'll be fine. I'm just frustrated bout this whole creditcard bullshit.

But besides this little downer *!(!!*& my holidays KICKS ASS. It really does. Scotland is just amazing and were haivng loads of fun...

ONE WEEK TILL CHEMICAL MAGIC!

Allright just had to get the frustration out.

Geez, times have changed. When I stayed at hostels, I just walked right in and booked a room - no credit card, just had the cash in hand. That was too long ago, though.

Jeanie, do you have one of those bank cards that has a debit/credit function?

I don't know how it is where you're from, bust about every bank card issued here in the States can be used as a debit (like going to a bank machine) or a credit card. It comes in handy because 'stash and I gave up credit cards a long time ago, and we can use our bank card as a credit card and never worry about spending money we don't have.

We've used it to reserve hotels, flights, all that. It's handy dandy!

Maybe your mother or someone can reserve a room for you at a hostel by using her credit card?

Keep the Crazy Frog poster, Whirly, and give it to me. I'll put it in the back window of my car, or something, for a laugh.... :D

I'll see what I can do.

It's still sitting in my office, out of sight. X-D

Our Universal rep (who I've known for a long time, she's such a sweet lady) could feel my pain, but she said that Crazy Frog is a huge priority for the Uni label right now. So since the labels money has us by the balls so to speak, I'll likely have to hang it.

With any luck, it will be hanging in the store only a couple of weeks til the next round of wallboards comes in.

The Universal rep saw the Crazy Frog thing, so she knows the store got it.

Last ditch attempts are either losing it (oops it must've accidentally gotten thrown away!) or damage (oops, sorry, it got ripped something fierce when I tried to hang it.)
