so whats your favorite cover art of all time?? i've always been very keen on albums covers, i'm always the person who will read an album sleve before i play the music.

my favorite would have to be the happy mondays classic album 'pills n thrills and bellyaches'. the cover is a montage of lots of sweet wrappers. its the kinda album cover you can spend hours looking at and seeing something new every time. unfortunatly this cover didn't last to long and was withdrawn as all the sweet wrappers were an infingement of copyright, the replacement cover had nothing like the impact of the original.

I like it :)

Took me a while to think what my favourite album artwork is, I had to take a trip to my room and browse through my CD's. Browsing lasted five seconds as I spotted it straight away.

Radiohead: Kid A

It's not just the front, it's the whole thing. In the version I got, where the CD sits, if you remove it there's a secret booklet inside (I broke the case to get it ) and it's got loads of art in there. Fantastic!

I'm sure, the cover I prefer over all is this:

But there are so many beautiful covers I like (speaking of album, not singles)...

and others I can't remember now... :)

Orbital - In Sides is a kick ass album cover, I can't be bothered to dig out a picture.

I see so many album covers in a day, and there's so many great ones that catch my eye, I can hardly keep up because there's some great ones out there - some simple, some ornate, etc. etc. . My old job at the record store involved copying album art on a large scale and hanging it on the walls. It was a good way to pay homage to artists I admired and great advertisement for the bands... To say I love album art is an understatement!

Pink Floyd - Animals: This one's got a super cute flying piggy!!

http://www.pinkfloydonline.com/pictures/gallery1/animals.jpg/img] Orb - U.F. Off: Funny and subtle, flippin' us the bird! Air - Virgin Suicides: This one is so beautiful, it reminds me of another time and another place. Kind of art deco. Duran Duran - Rio: I know it seems cheesy because it's soooooo 80's, but I like it - the artist who did this cover inspired knockoffs a'plenty and attained almost a pop icon status in the art world before he kicked the bucket. U2 - Achtung Baby: Finally a record cover by them that doesn't have brooding, posed pics of the band! Brilliant cover - the flip side has a naked pic of the bassist, which was censored here in the states [img]http://www.ilbaluardo.com/Cover/Audio/S%20-%20T%20-%20U/U2%20-%20Achtung%20baby%20-%

As most people know i like this band the boom boom satellites and this is one of my favorite covers it was drawn by one of the famous manga artist in japan and is the first time he has done this type of thing. The art throughout the bocklet is great.

Heh. anType, just an fyi... the Andrew W.K. record cover is censored here in the States!! U.S. domestic releases have a thick band across the outer packaging that covers the bloodied portion of the face.

Thank you censor police for protecting our fragile and impressionable little minds!

Those are some amazing covers Thor_Satyr.

I've always loved the Iron Maiden covers with Eddie.

iguanapunk, I somehow *knew* you'd post an Iron Maiden record cover!

Maybe I'm psychic (prolly not) or just remember you saying a long time ago that you were a Maiden fan.
