yeah, def agree with whirlygirl that if your planning/pining/really looking for love then the oppostie sex definitely picks up on it and it acts as kind of a detterent. (im not saying you are IP, just in general) - there was quite a nice girl that was into me a while back, and i was really put off by this - silly really, i quite liked her and it could have been good, but she was just too keen. (there were other circumstances as well, but i won't go into that. ooo the mystery!! oh mippio you are such an enigma ;) X-D )
it's a bit of a paradox really, because if you haven't had it for a while, then you start to subconciously have these 'desperate' signals, and the more you want it, the more of these signals you give out and then ironically the more it puts people off!

and yeah i agree, i don't think giving yourself a big ego helps either. self-confidence yes, egotistical no.
i suppose the main thing in all of this is be yourself! as you say smiley, if she doesn't like you for who you are, it aint gonna work no matter what. wise words there my friend.
