Here are a few possibilities:

1. Nobody downloaded it. Right now, I can't because my work servers block imeem.com

2. People downloaded it, but didn't get around to listening to it.

3. People downloaded it and listened to it, but they didn't have any constructive feedback for you.

4. People downloaded it, listened to it, were about to write constructive feedback for you, but then a deranged monkey jumped through their window and lacerated their face.

5. People downloaded it, listened to it, were about to write constructive feedback for you, had a deranged monkey jump through their window and lacerate their face, make a full recovery and get back to their computer to write a lengthy response to your remix, including constructive feedback and words of praise, only to have not learned from their past mistakes and fail to have boarded up their windows, allowing more deranged monkeys to break in and cause further bodily harm, resulting in their death.

Does this explain things a bit better for you?

Nice attempt to put a 'new' spin on it Jossse. Pretty brave to even try and remix a track like that. It didn't have to be that long though.

But then again, I'm no remixer, so kudos for you!

BTW, you can post your own tracks or remixes here...

Finally got around to listening to it.

It's structured in a strange way and you use a lot of elements from the Chems' original mix which doesn't make it sound all that different from the original mix.

It sounds a bit cheesy sped up to the tempo at which you have it, and the build-ups and break-downs don't do to much in the way of working with the energy of the song in a good way.

The only part where it gets kind of interesting is at around the 6 minute mark where you mess with the EQ of the main sample, which goes on for far too long, by the way. After four minutes or so of hearing it over and over again you get really tired of hearing it.

But back to that 6-7 minute mark--that's where the remix has the most potential, but it doesn't really peak the way it needs to in order to really be amazing.

If you want to give it another shot, try to focus a bit more beforehand on what you want the track to do because right now it sort of wanders.

I like the mix Jossse ... It definitely needs some things added. It sounds awful similar to the original.

But I disagree on the tempo - I like it sped up.

I'd like a half-as-long version though... Unless you really had 2 or 3 different parts that varies it a bit more. Then the length would be a-ok.

Good job!
