You guys are cute together. Very Daft Punk. I think I'll listen to 'Digital Love' in honour of the two of you.

speaking of,

They made it on the Lollapalooza lineup (finally)

however, the lineup is medicore once again, yet, better from last year (IMO).

Im going though. Basically just for Daft Punk, and acts that I wanted to see at Coachella that I will miss, yet make up at Lollapalooza.

I actually like the Lolla lineup, though admittedly it's not as strong as Coachella.

Ok, I heard the track again today morning high volumes on my big system and in my car - it fuckin rocks!

It's not what we expected, it's nothing as BIG and IMPACTFUL as the chems' mamoths put out earlier - but I have a feeling this is gonna fit in very well as song 2 on the album - and I like almost everything on this quite a bit till now, even the synth people are finding cheesy - it's quite got that euphoric vibe to it. Is that a moog at the 3 min breakdown? Sorry I'm bad with synths.

I like the remix a lot too, will post more later - I am just praying the song has staying power, which is my only doubt as of now, but once it's part of the whole album, I have no doubts I'd ever be skipping it, I've never skipped any songs on any album till date, it's just me I guess.

This is definitely not a bad song, poppish, dance floor very-friendly, simple, a bit on the minimal side, but I like it overall as a dance song! N it definitely has the Chems written all over it, even though it's way different from what they've been doing till now. I'm also just hoping the cd version has many more layers, and so does the rest of the album - I hope the Chems have not gone so minimalistic in their production - tho I doubt that very strongly - it'll never happen. Are Mia and Stash on this planet anymore?

They're in San Fran right now until the weekend, so they haven't heard it yet in all likelihood.

I doubt the commercial release will have any more layers, but I love how Tom & Ed manage to get massive sounds out of a more sparse arrangement these days. I've commented several times since PTB came out how I feel their use of aural "space" has improved a lot and has really changed how they make music. Tracks are less cluttered and more spacious.

I really can't wait to hear this on a half-decent system.

That's the first thing I did - blew it on my hugeass system - and it really rocsks - that's why i said the cd will do wonders!

I agree on your pts about the more minimal production, but I'm definitely hoping for a thicker sound on the album than this single, not this minimal - and I'm sure it won't be! Even PTB tho sounds minimal has a million layers, though definitely a different approach from the gazillion billion on Come With Us - both are production masterpieces.

I really like it actually, I can see that it will transmit well onto the dancefloor of the current underground dance scene and indie/electro scene, hopefully the dj's will hammer it. It sounds very Chemical to me, reminds me of nude night. In terms of chart success I think it will do ok, but maybe not quite as well as Galvanise as its not quite as catchy.

Nic Fanciulli has listed it as his top tune at the mo on facebook, I wonder if there are many promos of it?

I don't think so. Well at least I can't tell. It has no wharacteristics of a moog sound like in Denmark for example.

I think they said they hugely used modular synths on this album : Roland System 700 (as said on the interview Tom gave) and I guess the ARP 2600

Oh crap! There?s already a massive thread on this already and I only just found out about the hearing of this track...like I really post that much anymore but anyway...

So I had a listen to ?Do It Again? but yeah hmmm problem..... I happen to cringe at anything remotely cheesy and I mean anything?.if someone told me they loved me I have this sudden urge to run even if though an incredibly beautiful thing. Hmm yeah a tad fucked up. But I had a listen and even though the vocal isn?t telling me it loves me its really cheesy in a radio friendly commercial pop/house track kinda cheese. Everything else sounds evil and fresh new chems direction kinda way...a little minimal and no real climax although it works, its just the vocal makes me....uncomfortable. It could grow on me but I?m a little funny about listening to it again.

I?m an instrumental kinda girl. Some vocals are just not right for a track and can block your concentration and you?ll miss a totally mind blowing beat or melody. That?s why I think EBW 8&9 and amazing?.the intense build ups, mad break downs and evil synths. One little thing can make or break a track. Just like that track from the knife? The Captain?its starts of a beautiful instrumental then these really bad vocals come half way in. Although I?m also a huge fan of the knife and all there other tracks have ok vocals (except the terrible happy style song ?Listen Now? ?shudder?) I just won?t listen to that particular track on their album. Don?t get me wrong though all the female vocals on the chems tracks have been breathtaking and refreshing because they sound so beautiful. Oh and of course The Test.

I will give ?Do it again? anther go and I will get over my cheese factor but I donno how it will do on the charts. Galvanize got too big and I couldn?t really stand to here it anymore. It was EVERYWHERE! I was coming home on a train a couple of months ago and I saw a billboard outside for the formula 1 grand prix that just past and it said ?Don?t hold back? I thought to myself I bet they used Galvanize as the song to the commercial for this?.and I was right. My Ipod has refused to upload it. Itunes keeps giving it this weird time duration and it will not play.

I know this is only the first single to what I hope to be a mind warping acid drenching evil psychedelic album?and me being such a huge fan I?m highly optimistic that Tom and Ed will deliver. Only 2 months to go kids!

Oh have I said cheese enough??
its a little early but thanks anyway

the track is awful, the vocals completely undermine anything worthwhile in the production, the song goes nowhere, let us pray the album is better than this rubbish

I LOVE the vocals! Each of em! Especially the ones at about 2.10 (male) and then again later on the high energy kinda male chorus! And I like the bubblegum pop catchy woman vocals too! Damn - I find nothing wrong with this track - it's not too deep, and I like it for being a nice simple catchy tune! What's wrong with that? I'm sure there'll be enough epic stuff on the rest of the album!
