edited and uploaded the remix. the overall volume is increased and the beats sound better. i still need some feedback to improve the mix. i heard it so many times that i can't hear whats good or bad anymore :)

what do you guys think of the synth solo at 3 min's?

Soundcloud link: http://soundcloud.co...swoon-eis-t-dub

OK. I really like the laid back take, very original. Still got a lotta work to do though. It feels like there's plenty of room for more sounds. Add more beats and other musical elements and try to work with panning effects. Put stuff in the left and right channels instead of just leaving them centered. And try to use a lot more samples from Swoon. It's too much your track (I can barely hear Swoon in your remix). Definitely add those female 'oohing' sounds - it needs more treble elements, those would fit perfectly into it. Work on the mastering too, it sounds flat and a little lo-fi at the moment. Once you get that part down, it'll sound great

Czar - that remake of Live Intro Track is really awesome! Seriously, it sounds excellent! Like an 8-bit mix, only it's listenable. You should totallly take that and do the whole track - it'd be absolutely great for the WoTD remix.

Thanks for the feedback WhiteNoize! personally i think the same about the track as you. the idea is good and creative but i can't seem to get it sound right... :( The past few days i edited the track a lot and it sounds better but it still isn't as good as it can be. i appreciate the feedback though! i didn't do much panning because of the pingpong delays on the send track.
in fact, the track is nearly all Swoon! only the bass, synth solo and the mallets are not CB material :) the drums are all sampled from Swoon. i think adding more of the original will be quite hard because this remix is 70 bpm and swoon is somewhere around 130. i can add some double tempo parts though.
what did you think about the intvieuw parts? does it add something or is it lame?

on Czar's take: needs a lot of work but i hear the potential awesomeness of it :D right now it sounds to much like a MIDI file...

All Swoon? Huh, I must be deaf...

I think the interview parts are pretty cool I guess. Maybe you could just do the 'strange sensations' part instead of the whole phrase. I don't know.

Czar's take on WoTD is awesome because it sounds like an midi file - the simplicity of it makes it fun and gives it a lot of charm.

Don't mess with it Czar!!!

Thanks fellas for the nice reception of my "attempt". Was just an 10 minutes instant try.
Don't worry about messing it up. I don't have enough time and not the means to accomplish a decent remix out of that at the moment.
Looking forward what you guys are comming up with.

If you could make that in 10 minutes you could probably finish the whole track in like 20. All you would need to do is re- structure it the same as WoTD and maybe add a element or two (like vocoder and beeping).

And if you can't do that, make available some of the parts/samples. I'd gladly put together a finished project out of what you already have.

Sorry if I sound pushy, I'd just really like to see this on FurtherRemixed. Like I've said it's really good!

 Thanks guys. But if it's going on the album credit Czar for the remix. List me as 'additional production' only, I don't want full credit for it.

By the way, I came across this bit of a Dissolve remix and thought it was friggin massive, check it:

Hey there. Sorry, that I didn't respond earlier but oh well...

It's nice. But somehow I can't help thinking it sounds a bit out of tune at the end (and I don't mean the outro because that's certainly intentional). But anyway, good stuff.

Thing is, I'm not able to work on it since I don't have all my samples and vst libraries with me (let alone the midi data). Maybe I can try a re-rebuild just with my own sample and the basic equipment, FL studio provides.

(As a side note, I'm Csar with a S :-D )

Thanks! I know what you mean about it being sort of 'off' at the end, it's good but the elements I added didn't fit with what you had as well as I'd like.

I used FL Studio as well, if you wanna mess with my version I could easily send you the project file and samples. You'd probably be able to do the ending better than I can anyway. I just need to know if you have Sytrus or not.

(and I can change it to an 's' )

ps: I also posted my EV mix on Youtube to try to generate a little publicity:

Cool, Jamal. By the way, I contacted Dark Tokyo, the guy doing that awesome Dissolve remix I mentioned before (Link), and he replied back saying that he was really interested in being on FurtherRemixed. I don't want to push AndroidGeoff's away (his remix is great), but he said before that he wanted someone else to do the remix:

I don't really want to do another one since I'd like to get more participants but if it comes down to it, I'll do a Dissolve remix. It will probably be more minimal so somebody better do a remix. I know how everyone just loves minimal

so I thought I'd suggest this one. Yes/No? Good/Suck? What do you guys think?

I really don't like this one, he ruined the track completely. that part when the kick comes in is :???: and has way to much sidechain compression. Personally i prefer AndroidGeoff's Remix.

i like that dissolve remix, but only thing i would fix about it is that part right before the kick, with the caroline vocal, it was off beat

Very cool, don't think anyone else has done K+D+B yet? Definitely not too late.
