It's Under The Influence. It's obvious to see why it might be called Bass Test because it really does test the bass and this song i'm sure has been responsible for damaging many sound system that arn't up to scratch.
Under the influence is available on the album: Surrender
I heard this on a top of the range car stereo at a motor show and it was unbelievable!

Ah, Under the Influence it is!
I have no idea where you can get this Bass Test you speak of. I do recall that it was a working title on the Surrender promo. I don't remember if it was a European promo or a US issued one.
Perhaps anType (the walking talking Chemical Encyclopedia) will know! :D
You may want to try e-bay, and keep checking continually to see what you can find.

I can imagine it was.
Hearing it at NYE on the Turnmilss sound system was an experience. you'venever really listend to that song unless you had the chance to hear it through a system having a top-notch low range...

Well I mean I heard it later on in life at Glastonbury, but just the clarity of the car sound system was something else. At Glastonbury you were part of the bassline, it shook you within.
