My ex is out on a date with a guy of the same name as me ffs! }:-) How does one deal with this?
:(
You let her fall on her face, while you move on to better women more deserving of the love and attention you will lavish upon them.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

And the night was very hit or miss.
NHL season begins and watch an entertaining game. Get named captain of my soccer team for the year. Sprain my ankle pretty seriously and now I'm on crutches for the foreseeable future. Likely going to miss the beginning of the season now.
Bleh.

Royksopp, Leadmill, Sheffield, 5th October.
Around 8:35 Royksopp appear suddenly in Red shirts, grey tie and trousers, but strangely, barefoot!! I think they were mimicing the famous Kraftwerk 'Man-Machine' album cover. They launched straight into Royksopp's Night Out, the highlight of this being where the song goes quiet with the mysterious pads/sound effects and then suddenly springs into life. 'Don't go' came next, didn't expect this one, still cool though.
An unnamed vocalist and guitarist appeared and Royksopp launched into 'What else is there?', the vocalist sounded just like Karin Dreijer, however later in the show when they performed the brilliant 'Only this moment', the vocalist sounded just like Chelonis Jones too!! (Just looked in the sleevenotes to The Understanding to find out the names ) Not sure of the order, but they played A Higher Place, Remind Me (Someone Else remix), Follow My Ruin, Circuit Breaker and a track which I think was one of the bonus tracks on The Understanding. Eple, Poor Leno and Only this moment went down very well with the crowd, who seemed mostly lethargic at first but jumping later! Have to say that Alpha Male worked brilliantly live, the accelerating build-up at the start to the headbanging main part of the track to the slow ending sequence. Even a mistake by Svein on the drum machine (which he plays magnificently) towards the end didn't spoil it. Sparks sounds completely different live, a lot faster and the female vocalist singing "Sparks, always". Worked very well.
Svein played the drum machine through most of the show apart from short periods where he would mess with some switches to his right. I'm pretty sure at one stage he gave me a thumbs up sign!! Torbjorn played chords / pads and fiddled with the switches. Both sang vocals, Torbjorn using the vocoder on Poor Leno, Remind me and Don't go.
The best part was saved till last. After a quick encore, Roysopp reappeared to perform what eventually turned into 49 per cent (no vocals) but worked really well. Then came Poor Leno (Istanbul forever take) which was absolutely mindblowing!!!!!! The cd version (which I had unintentionally not played for a while) is awesome but fucking hell, when it broke down and the Poor Leno chords came in I went fuckin mental, and a few others did too :D.
There were very short gaps between each track, no transitions between but the whole show was awesome from start to finish. The final track pretty much topped it all off. Cheers guys.
Anyone else going to see them this year?

arrrggghh man i have the mother of all hangovers - loads of absynth, beera nd vodka & orange, 6.00am bedtime, i am shaking and feel like someone has stuck an axe in my head,
soulwax were alright, vitallic was a bit techno-electro for me and 2manydj's were cool in a kind of play a sh1tload of classics for an hour and a hlaf sort of way.
venue was hideous, usually frequented by townies & chavs - some rotten coked-up geezer was dancing behind me, turend away from the decks, he kept bashing into me, over and over - i tried the old 'hold firm' trick so they bounce of u but he kept doing it, so i turned round and said 'i dont mind u dancing but either stop bashing into me or fvck off' (which was a bit lairy i suppose, but i was really annoyed - it was more like a rock gig than a dance club, i just wanted to get my groove on) and he said 'if u tell me to fvck of again i'll stab ya' 8O 8O 8O hahahaha, he was blatantly just a knob so i laughed at him, grabbed his had, pumpoed it in the air in a rave arm stylee, ruffled his hair then carried on jigging hehehe.
anyway, back to bed for me, i aint getting out my pyjamas today haha
