LIVE DVD?

i dont think there will ever be an official live dvd. as nice as it would be, i just dont see it happening. i dont really think there is the commercial demand for it, apart from the forum faithful. plus tom and ed's non-intrest in this area.
i'd honestly rather a live audio album was put together. i would truely like an album with sound quality to blow away any bootleg recording out there. with the chems using the digital download format to get albums out there ( like the b-side volumes). it would great to see a live album released in this format.
but getting back to a live DVD. over the years there has been enough footage put out there to create a live dvd. thats what i have kept my self busy creating over the last few months. i reckon i got enought tv and radio footage on my hard drive that i can sequence a full 2 hour gig. here is a sample of the live dvd im creating

haha, good call! :)
I'd like them to release a live DVD of 5 channel uncompressed audio!

You are right sneaker, a live album would be delicious!! It does seem more likely than a live DVD. Even if it could be released in cassette, and I'd still buy it, haha. I'd love to have a full lengh live set in better-than-bootleg sound sometime in the future, I think non of us would complain. Release in digital format would be a good move for something like this, with maybe a limited edition cd. sneaker, I bet the finished product of latest Live DVD project will be stellar. :)

bitchin vidya, sneaks!
and was that animation part at the beginning of Galvanize, part of the live show during the PTB tour? Or was it some promo animation that I missed out on?

I have loads of live recordings of the chems, but yeah a 'better quality' original recording of a full length gig would be amazing! I wouldn't rule it out, I mean some bands have chosen to do live DVD's, Prodigy full Brixton Gig (awesome) from 97 on the singles DVD of course, Underworld, Basement pah Jaxx did some live songs on their DVD with some behind the scenes footage but Leftfield, Orbital to name but a few havent, maybe its something they will consider on their 10th anniversary of splitting?
I don't know how these things work, but you often see groups who have split releasing material many years down the line...God forbid the split of the chems but they may chose to do omething like that?

lol....it's funny that you mentioned the basement Jaxx dvd Vman. I was on that Dvd for the fuji rock preformance of Lucky Star. It's only for a split second but to me it was amusing. especially since I haven't liked anything they've done since kish kash.
