Defined a little more formally, "escape velocity" is the initial speed required to go from an initial point in a gravitational potential field to infinity with a residual velocity of zero, with all speeds and velocities measured with respect to the field

Doesn't is just make you better at lying, or better at not getting caught? I can't talk, my children drove me to a screaming maniac at times but I think that is different, those are planned punishments! Mine were just fits of rage ... haha just realised the insanity of my argument.
btw, having children is wonderful, the bad moments are just a blink of an eye amongst a lot of great moments.

The thing is though, if we managed to record one of the times that you lost it with your son and posted it online, there would be people who tear you apart i'm sure. It's all very easy to judge by that clip, but it could be taken out of context. Some children are out of control, my cousin was INSANE! So soft methods of discipline don't work, and you have to take another route. No it's not nice to hear a child cry but if they deserve it, they deserve it, they're hardly little angels.

same here... it was... disturbing, to say the least
i thought to write some clever comment on kids and how we can deal with them without that kind of discipline, but all i can think of right now is how it would be niceee to give her taste of her own medicine

Playstation Doom - Some of the eeriest ambient music in a game ever!
Quake 3, PC
Thief 2, PC
System Shock 2, PC
Resident Evil 2, PS
Alundra, PS
Half-Life, PC
and Wipeout, PS. I can't believe this hasn't got many mentions. C'mon, chemical beats! or Loops of Fury from 2097, what do you prefer?

WipEout - 1 (Chemical Beats)
WipEout XL - 2 (Dust Up Beats, Loops Of Fury)
WipEout 3 - 1 (Under The Influence)
WipEout XL was actually what introduced me to the Chemmies, so I owe a lot to it.
I've mentioned it plenty of times.
I live in America (unfortunately), and the US Wipeout 1 had only the 8 CoLD SToRAGE tracks, no Leftfield, Orbital or Chems. Still a quality soundtrack with CoLD SToRAGE though.
I've been playing a ton of Parappa The Rapper:
It's an insane music/rap game that follows the general rule for music games - press the button that appears on the screen at the right time. It's unique because it allows for improv (as you can see in the video), you actually need it in order to pass in some cases, so it's more about rhythm than it is copying commands. The raps are great, creative and stupid like something a 3rd grader would come up with (see Driving Lessons Rap, Bathroom Rap). It's a total kid's game, but it's surprisingly hard - those videos make it look simple. And it was made in Japan, so there's all sorts of outrageous stuff thrown in. Cult classic.
