I had the postman coming to my office yesterday and I thought "yeah, he's delivering hanna!". but it was just a packet of books. argh. I know it's been less than 2 weeks since I won this auction and I will probably just have to wait for another week. but still, I can't wait much longer!

Orignally I had this idea of these hand drawn fairy tale icongraphy from the film, meshed with a dirty urban chaotic background, the kind of 'fucked up fairy tale' feel Jon described. Unfortunately, it ended up looking like acid caveman drawings on a booger, so I trashed that and started over with this. It's intentionally gritty/messy, hope you like it.

loads of blood and violence! looking like the artwork to an italian 70s b-movie with loads of guns and killings. I like it, however I'd defo change the "Hanna OST" font, that doesn't match at all.

That's also intentional. The movie's not all about killing and violence, neither is the soundtrack. I thought that it offset the harshness in a weird enough way to look good.

as I haven't seen the movie yet I cannot judge on that. I see your point, but still I believe there should be a better solution for that :)

Hmmm. I'm kind of reminded a bit of the blood spatter from Reservoir Dogs and it's overpowering. I can totally understand why the old idea was ditched, and I feel the thought process behind the finished product - but I think there might be a bit too much going on in this composition, WN.

OK. They actually weren't meant to be blood splatters, it was supposed to be a red background with white 'paint' streaked across it. Guess it didn't work the way I wanted it to.

I still think it looks cool, but I agree - bit too chaotic. I've got a simpler design that I'm going to try out, I think it might work better.
