I don't have that on DVD but I wouldn't put it on for both of us to watch. It's something you need to see on your own I believe. I didn't really get it anyway, it's too crazy for my simple mind. It's something I need to watch again,
My favourite Aronofsky films in order:
1: Requiem for a Dream
2: Pi
3: The Fountain
4: Black Swan
5: The Wrestler.
I didn't even realise The Wrestler was by him at the time, it did not feel like an Aronofsky film but it was still excellent,

I saw Tron on the IMAX in all it's gargantuan, superfluous 3D glory. Tron was nice to look at (and I actually thought the music accompanied the film as well as it could have - great cameo from the Punks too) - but honestly... I saw it on New Year's Eve and 3 days afterward, when someone asked "Hey what did you do for New Year's Eve?" I totally forgot that I even saw Tron, hahaha The film as a whole... well. It's regretfully forgettable. Like I said it was nice to look at. It was entertaining. It's theatrical fluff and OK popcorn filler complete with a few cheesy and awkward moments that made me wince. If you're expecting an awesome dance in your seat experience because of the sound track you might want to save your money on seeing this in the cinema.
That said, I *still* haven't seen Black Swan - so it's not really right for me to suggest seeing that instead.
I just realize none of this is probably helping your decision, is it... Sorry!!

It actually is cause at first I was not that much excited by Tron legacy (I haven't even seen the first Tron) and reading that the movie is not very good, I don't think I wanna see it. And I honestly HATE movies that want you to see them just for the sake of 3D IMAX INCREDIBLE PICTUREZ !!!1!11!1 but have a poor plot.
Seriously who needs to see a movie in 3D to appreciate it ? It's just useless eye-torture !

You don't need to see it in 3D, it didn't add that much to the experience, but it does need to be seen. The sets are so sexy! If you love neon/vivid light effects and minimalistic design then you will appreciate it for that. The other elements what make up a film are mediocre in this, but you can forgive it for the full on boner it gives you with its beautiful lasers peeow peeow. The first one is good, but it's dated. From some of your posts in the Now Playing thread I can see you can appreciate old as well as new.

if you love seeing Olivia Wilde in a sexy latex suit, it's ok too.

Del Toro is amazing in this movie.
When I first heard this movie was in the works I wondered how the spirit, grit, lunacy and sheer psychedelic insanity of the novel was going to transfer to film. But I rushed out to see it opening night. I'm a big fan of the book which no movie, I don't think, can ever fully capture - but I thought the film was pretty good overall. It's been years and years since I've seen it though.

Yeah, I can't stop thinking about The Cove since my son brought it up again. It disgusted me and made me cry.
