Thibault (France) Escribi:

Yeah, usually when at the end of a concert, my ears are broken, but not with the Chemical. Chemical soun during live is not very loud. But the sound is made to make your body vibes, but really. It's not the tympan which will vibe, but the very body, and it's during TPPR that you will really feel it. Astonishing !

That is something I've noticed about the Chem's soundsystem - it is loud, at least it was to me (and they gave my poor sister-in-law a splitting migraine the last time we saw them) but there was absolutely no distortion whatsoever. None. Everything came together nicely and the songs had so much depth yet they didn't sound muddy when all the layers of sound came together. And that bass. It was relentless, it was so low it felt like I was being electrocuted.

I've seen them live 2x outside under the open sky so I'm not sure how they sound in an enclosed venue! I'm sure it's great but the last time I saw them I thought, "no way can this be pulled off indoors, the building would blow apart." It seems like their music is to be played large outside with no ceilings to hold in the music, and dancing under the open sky adds a nice touch. ;)

Oh and I forgot to add - whoever is their sound engineer (surely they must have their own stage hands to help them during tours) and stage coordinator for this last round gets a big ol' thumbs up!!

Hehe... Leftfield were banned from Brixton Academy in 1995 for making parts of the ceiling go down due to their sound system. So maybe it's really better to let the Chems play outside... ;-)

Why ? Sky is the limit, so they just bring you closer to it.

Are we talking about bringing the sky down or bringing the earth up?

I hope they won't make the sky go down while playing outside
