Hey, just wondering of your feelings towards this album?

Im just listening now, and I have to say its very impressive. Doesnt seem like a normal shit repetitve dee&bee album, it goes well over the edge and take it all a bit further. 'Slam' is a bit over played but theres some proper good tunes such as 'The loop', 'Girl in the fire' and 'The terminal'.

Its good hereing some real future classics by one artist on one album after hereing the likes of Andy C and Fabio hammering them in clubs. Well worth checking out!

Yeah this album is a revelation for me. I ve never liked drum & bass before but checked out this album after hearing there remix of prodigys voodoo people which i thought was exellent. I think it's an impressive album a little cheesy in places but exellent production and also trying out different elements other than typical d&b make this a crossover album i think.

Yeah i know what you mean bout the cheese factor it has, kinda like a dnb equiverlant to ATBs album. Still a good listen though. Shame 'Slam' has become overplayed.

On the D&B scene Pendulum are getting a lot of abuse from the hardcore Drum and Bass fans. They think they've sold out, gone mainstream and so are subject to a lot of abuse. Stereotypically, D&B fans are trouble anyways.

I love Fasten Your Seatbelt, it's like a D&B Ska Tune! :D

Yeah , on the DnB forum where i sometimes post , there are a lot of Pendulum haters. I dont know them from when they were still underground and they make good tunes.

DnB Isn't mainstream anyway i think.

Yeah I can see why it could been seen as selling out. I know exactly what you mean regarding the stereotype of dnb fans, many of them are chavs and whenever I go to a dnb event its allways a bit edgey and I feel like I have to watch what I say and do. On the house and techno scene it doesnt seem as much like this with drugs not being as bigger part. Saying that I have meet some really nice trust worthy people through dnb.

I thinks its getting more mainstream. I was never really into in until about 2years ago when it started to become more popular, however recentally every fucker seems to like it, and the music seems to be getting worse. Every loves the likes of Andy C, Hype and Grooverider. Theres alot of good older names such as Nicky Blackmarket, Kenny Ken and Ray Keith that seem to be forgotten.

I don't listen to a lot of DnB, but I enjoyed DJ Marky's set at Coachella. Those Brazilian vibes get me moving.

Love dancing to DnB and hardcore, though, it gets the body moving. While I can only take it in small doses in the car or at home, it's perfect for clubbing.

Hmz , i guess the UK scene is different from the scene here. I found the atmosphere and the people here great 8O I feel like i found my type of party people.

No fucked up people , and i haven't seen much drugs going on either.

Not many people listen to DnB here at all (or electronic music in general), but those who do are often, surprisingly to me, pardon the term, but geeky and very straight-edged. Almost completely drug-free environment as far as I can tell.

Drugs really aren't that prominent here at all, besides the almost comprehensive marijuana use. I was actually really surprised when a couple friends that I used to work with were snorting rails last night at the party I was at.

You'll find the new age drum and bass listeners are the guys who frequent the rock clubs.

I really dont think much of the album, some of the tracks are quite good but i'm finding most people who like pendulum dont really like much other drum and bass. I think that synth noise in Slam is pure cheese! Theres much better d&b out there... But one of the guys in Pendulum DJs and his mixing is cool.

I really like the d&b crowd, i find them much friendlier and up for it than the house crowd and i like it that everyone isn't out of there heads at d&b. I've met some great people from going to those parties...

True. My experience from house/Techno parties HERE IN HOLLAND is that there is a " The beautifull people " crowd. Lots of guys who spend whole days in the gym and stuff , Loads of guys anoying the fuck out of me.

With DnB , the crowd really comes for the music , nobody cares how you dance/look/act.
