I've seen both the chems and 2many djs many times and they're miles different. I would equate a chems dj set with something like a bugged out night or a jon carter set... lots of banging techno and acid house.
2manydjs are more... erm... eclectic I guess! Their sets quite often jump from sleazy electro to rock anthems and everything in between, although their more recent sets have been quite minimal with less of the eclecticism and more techno. :)

they play some good records and some bad ones but I don't like hearing cool old punk/funk stuff.....gang of four etc thats been timestretched over a 4/4 kick
JD Twitch from Optimo plays some wicked records.....stuff that you don't get the chance to hear in a club often and thats cool but then he doe's the same thing.....
my other gripe is......and trust me I love cut ups - steinski's lessons are some of my fave records of all time....but when you listen to that all night it does, to paraphrase dave clarke begin to sound like jive bunny....music for people with short attention spans.....'spose you could argue that it's a hip-hop ehtos but sometimes you think "please play the whole thing"
whinge whinge whinge
I'm really not that negative.....honest - having a bad day I think.....left my bag on the train this morning with my mobile/mini-disc player and john peel book in it.
phoned the train company.....who were less than useless
GREAT

2manydj's are mcdonalds to the chemical brothers nigella lawson ;)
Blasphemy! Wash your mouth out now! How dare you equate the chems with nigella 'look-at-my-big-bazooms' lawson?! Gary Rhodes maybe, but not Nigella bloody Lawson!
Oh and I disagree with your opinion of 2 many djs too. :P

as for 2 many dj's good sometimes but they need new music in there sets as they play the same set over and over and if you ever see them 2 in a year they will always play the same stuff

2manyDJs are last in show this year at Big Day Out and if their anything like the chems then I'll be checking them out for sure. I'm so annoyed though about the timetable at the moment... both Wolfmother and The Magic Numbers are at the same time and it's the same for M.I.A and Frans Fredinand....who do I see????? :?
Oh and a Glint set here would go off although theres probably no way those boys would fly over here for a DJ set. I'll have to wait till the next album comes out to see them again....or move to london which I've been thinking about saving up for this year.....

I gotta ask......have they ever played in L.A.?
The last time the Chemical Brothers did a dj set in Los Angeles was at the Audiotistic event in 2003 - when they were promoting their Singles release.
As for other times before that, most likely they've done sets in Los Angeles but I didn't catch them as it was before my trip with the Chems.

Coachella - not technically LA, you might offend the desert folk as most places outside of LA like to distance themselves as much as possible! ;) Though Indio as close as they've gotten in the past few years to the general public Los Angeles in terms of live shows.
