Any of those clubs still around? I should go visit them, see if I can find any of those ladies like your younger-self

Haha!!

It's been over a decade since we used to frequent clubs like that. The last time I went to a goth-industrial club was... Jeez. It was a quite a while ago. I remember it clearly because I sat in a corner the whole night wanting nothing more than to leave. LOL The place was called Bar Sinister and it was a bit too decadent - a lot of people wearing vinyl that shouldn't have been wearing vinyl, and a few too many men wearing puffy pirate shirts acting like Lord Byron wannabes with their noses in the air. Nobody talked to anyone, there wasn't a lot of friendliness. It was all very weird. The clubs I used to go to were up in Los Angeles - Bar Sinister's still around but more are no longer in existence. One was in this really cool venue called The Probe and there were different nights. Kontrol Faktory (famous for one time turning Madonna down at the door, ha) Submission and Helter Skelter. There was another one at a different venue called Sin-O-Matic which was a riot, a bit kinky antics going on in the back room which weirded me out a bit so I always stayed up in the main room. Where the bar was :P Why I fell out of that in later part of the 90's is the scene felt like it was collapsing under its own pretentiousness. Plus the scene itself was shifting... We sort of gravitated toward raves and warehouse parties and such because we felt like we could be ourselves, and I was digging on the music more which was like discovering new ground.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle
