I love Her Jazz, love the vocal samples, love the warmth in the song. It's dark and heavy and the vocal samples give it an ethereal feel while the beat keeps things grounded. I think it still sounds good today the way I think Song to the Siren still sounds good, though it would be interesting to hear what could be done with the song given the technology that's out now.

Aren't the chems going to put the ealy stuff on to the big compilation they're planning to release? (the one with all the singles, b sides, remixes etc on it) :?
Now that would be nice. :D I'd splurge on a comp disc. But compiling the songs for a comp release probably takes a lot more work than we are aware of. Especially when we're talking about the sound quality of some of their earliest works which were practically recorded in bedrooms. It would be cool to put some of those early works on a compilation disc as "easter eggs" but unless they were completely re-worked or even rewritten, the sound quality (of songs like Her Jazz, Let Me In Mate, the original Song to the Siren) could disrupt the flow of other songs that went through production in a studio.
Who knows though, and who am I riiiight? ;) We can only speculate and know that whenever a comp comes out we can be assured it will be quality and good tunes for all.
