Don't forget the obvious one : Come With Us ! This album is totally like Further, a psychedelic epic trip from the first second to the last one at the end of which the only thing we can say is "MOAR ! I WANT MOAR !!!"

The Prodigy's "The Fat Of The Land" is somehow epic too btw.

Fat of the Land is much more related to Dig Your Own Hole, damn, those 2 albums are very similar actually!
Prodigy's most melodic album was Experience, but that's nothing like Further, i'd personally recommend Fatboy Slim's "Better Living Through Chemistry" or some of Faithless earlier work like "Sunday 8PM".
You're never too retarded to RAVE!!!

wonder why no one recommended old psychedelic music from the 60's. I don't know the old stuff well enough to promote a particular album but i can see Further took some inspiration from krautrock for example. also they sampled the who on escape velocity.

Ooo. Nice one! As far as 60's (and 70's!) psychedelic music goes, it's literally like infinitely stepping on a musical goldmine. Start at someplace like Velvet Underground or Pink Floyd or Jefferson Airplane and go wherever the path takes you... Maybe even check out some Lothar and the Hand People, too. ;) It's freakin Endless!

Whitenoise - great BT albums there, but my all time favourite is the very big beat Movement in Still life. I'm shocked with his latest clunker - can't imagine he went back to being regular average BT fare after the epic Binary Universe!
<The C, the H, the E, the M, the I, the C, the A, the L, the brothers! THE BROTHERS!>

When I listened to Further for the first time I was hearing Kraftwerk and the Beatles. But those are such obvious en classic artists that my thought was that they were too obvious for this topic. But ok  :

Listen too:
Kraftwerk - Autobahn, with the titletrack as highlight (Snow reverence but also K+B+D)
the Beatles - Sgt Pepper, with A day in a life, the last track, as highlight (Dissolve, the paranoia!). It seems the Chems get their epic album endings from the Beatles. Tomorrow never knows finishes Revolver.
the Chemical Brothers - Come with us I agree with Maboul. Wonders of the Deep in the new Test. Wonders of the deep also reminds me of the Verve's 'A storm in heaven' and 'Forth' and Mercury Rev.

These are on the top of my head, most of my cd's are in boxes at the moment so I can't run through my collection

I think THM is a pretty good album (much popier but def top notch production).

anyone give the latest unkle a listen? 'Where did the night fall' is pretty awesome and imo, a classic and mature album from james lavelle. not really in the vein of escape velocity or horse power, but more along the lines of kdb, dissolve, or pills wont help you now.

the deluxe 2cd also includes instrumental versions of the regular tracks for those that are not into the vocals. the whole cd is sweet, but standouts for me include:

Where did the night fall:
UNKLE Feat. The Black Angels - Natural Selection
UNKLE - Follow Me Down (Featuring Sleepy Sun)
UNKLE - Joy Factory (Featuring Autolux)
UNKLE - Falling Stars (Featuring Gavin Clark)
UNKLE - Ablivion
UNKLE - The Runaway (Featuring Elle J )
UNKLE - Ever Rest (Featuring Joel Cadbury)
