i think you guys are all wrong about Lost. i like heroes and all, but the fact that it is even compared to lost is beyond me. Lost was much better in it's first season than heroes was and if you are following heroes storyline, it has nowhere to go after this season, except to get boring.

the Lost writers have said that the next season will be the last one, so here's hoping it doesn't drag out to die a slow death.

I thought they said there would be at least 5 seasons?

And Heroes has promised that it will solve the mystery of the explody city this season, and next season there will be another overreaching plotline.

In Heroes I think there is a lot for the writers to do because its in the real world and not minimized to an island. Besides this is only the start - the main objective behind this season is the explosion in New York - cause one of them is getting used to their powers - Lost season one was about a hatch which later on meant completely nothing :P and everyone spent a whole season getting worked up over it. However I do also think that later on in heroes we'll probably feel the same way - but they dont drag it out as much as lost does.

what y'all think of episode 16? Looks like Peter has gotten ahold of his powers and has more than Sylar - can he put an end to the killing?

Vote Petrelli 8)

Although I watch neither show, it sounds to me like the writers of Lost have reached the same point the writers of Twin Peaks reached midway through the second season: now what? Resolve the main plot point and go where? Or do we plod along with subplots that will hopefully catch on?

Unfortunately, Twin Peaks ended after the second season. But that final episode is a television event classic. What a cliffhanger finale. And bizarre as muck.

Looks like Claire's dad redeemed himself - Fairplay. I seriously thought someone was going to die in that episode with Radioactive-Man flaring up ready to go nuclear.

Hopefully next episode we all find out what power Petrelli discovers next. I'd love to see a stand off between him and Sylar - that would be extreme.

Peter would win easily, as long as he still has control over his power. Why do I say this? Peter can use any power that sylar has used, and more.

haven't watched it yet. It's not on TV for another 10 minutes, and 24 is on at the same time... it'll be DLed and burnt by the time 24's over.

Yeah this is a sweet show, really great that they actually progress the plot quickly each episode. It's not like Lost where you know that whatever is set up in the beginning of the episode isn't concluded till right at the end or not at all.

But I think they'll have a hard time linking all the plot lines up, especially with Hiro going back in time etc...

Latest episode was alright, but it was a bit much by the end. Too much of the same characters and not enough Hiro! Every episode up to now has had me at the edge of my seat though.

Hiro = 8)

im betting that at the end of season one peter goes nuclear...but you dont know whether he takes the whole city with him or just a block....then its a long wait until season 2!

It hasn't really hinted back to the nuclear explosion in New York - and Peter is riddlin his new powers and anything Sylar can do - he can do better.

I'm still hoping for a Mexican stand-off episode where Peter just kicks Sylar's balls in.

the last episode was easily the best one so far. no bad dialogue, just a concentrated tight storyline. i wish Lost were this compelling when concentrating on only a few characters for an episode.

we'll see... i'm still a bitch for Lost

I agree with what you're saying and I agree about that too, I'm still a bitch for lost :P

when I was burning it, the little preview video showed like the last 2 minutes, then I had to wait a night to watch it... fuck.

I love that fuckin' show. I don't mind missing out on hiro, there was a lot of good stuff in there...

actually, we did get a little hiro. literally.

and George Takei is a master villian?

I wonder if Linderman was the chief bad guy, the turtleneck guy.

The only crappy thing about Heroes is having to wait a week between episodes. X-D
