thanks

Hmm... can't find anything to back this up except for a similarly worded quote about Clash Of The Titans:
http://consequenceof...now-you-see-me/

Quote

As The Playlist points out, Leterrier has previously worked with Massive Attack and RZA, and had lined up Muse’s Matt Bellamy to soundtrack Clash of the Titans before scheduling conflicts forced him to drop out.

Mix up perhaps?

Hi Tom, I'm feeling skeptical.

1. You're not Tom:

Quote

just to let you know the chems are not involved in the score for this movie.they were only in talks at an early stage but couldn't make it work due to scheduling conflicts.

Why would you say "the chems" and "they" instead of "we"? I mean, you're still in the band, right?

2. You're Tom:

You're not doing the score anymore, but you didn't want to/weren't allowed to leak the news in any official way. By not using klingklong23 or first person voice you were able to mask your identity and tell us, then reveal your identity in a separate statement.

3. You're Tom:

You quit to become a barber

you didn't notice they've split up? ed is doing a twitter-like platform at the interwebs now and tom started training in becoming a barber.

and as usual, you had to make a brand new account

Everytime one of the brothers post something here it's with a new account. I wonder how many they have behind the couch. But nice to see them coming around from time to time.

"Hey Tom, you remember the password right?"

"No Ed, I thought you did"

"Oh, never mind then..."

Either way, I'm confused.

Tom's a barber? Why am I always the last to know?

I hope he didn't practice on Ed.......oops too late!
Ed's now wearing a baseball cap!

I don't think that was Tom btw. Tom or Ed write down their passwords down on paper and keep it locked up in the studio these days.

Now is Syrinx referencing a birds vocal chords or the 70s bands. If the later...

How do you keep coming up with these random Canadian Electronic artsists from the 70s (Syrinx, Mort Garson). Nobody in Canada knows about them! Not even me! Mind you I'm in London now so I can't judge for the rest of the country.

Okay now I think that might really be Tom. His handwriting (well, you know, the general tone and amount of grammar rules obeyed) is just like his other posts. Syrinx is both the name of a classic psychedelic band and the name of an old-school FM synthesizer from '84, two things way up Tom's alley.

Syrinx, we need proof it's really you! Post:

  • Snow (Original Version With Beats)
  • Superflash Studio Version
  • Here Come The Drums
  • Problem/Question
  • the Chemical Beats/Tomorrow Never Knows mashup you played in 1995
  • the tracklists to the Latenight Psychtronik Mix and the Pete Tong Takeover
  • printable any-time invitations to Rowlands Audio Research (travel expenses included)
  • the unmixed Further album
  • the full encore from the 2011 shows

in a .zip folder and we will believe you.

Oh, that is Tom. Same familiar lack of attention to syntax and grammar...

Tom, your disregard of the English language is appalling.

Lol, jeez Pooter hahahaha that's a little harsh, especially coming from the 'Spritual Lifter' ;-)

Maybe Tom forgot the password to his klingklong account and the password reset email went to his spam folder. I mean, these things happen. Or knowing the forum quirkiness maybe he never got the password email. At any rate, it's a shame we won't have the this soundtrack to look forward to. But maybe that just means there is a greater opportunity on the horizon.

Given their 2-3 year release cycle, I think it's about time for a new studio album ;-)

I KID!

I'm just sad we don't get to hear new cinematic score from them. :-(

My inclination to go see this movie when it comes out has dropped substantially.
