My anticipation of this gig has crept into my subconscious, and last night marked the 2nd dream I've had that involved the Hollywood Bowl. The first dream I had (a couple of weeks ago) I was late to the show. No surprise there. I always manage to get lost on the way to a Chems show in my dream. But last night in my dream I was actually there. It felt like it took us forever to find our seats and the opening act was playing. The opening act, strangely enough, was an extremely emaciated and bearded David Bowie who was writhing all over the stage - except he wasn't on stage, he was being recorded somewhere else which happened to be played out on those massive LED screens.

Unfortunately as the Chems were about to start, I woke up. Not even 2 hits on the snooze button could resurrect what now is lost. I'm such a dork.

Ha! I hate that you can't go back to the same dream you were dreaming of earlier. Once you hit 'snooze', it's over.

Wow. I wish I could've done an inception on you and viewed your dream. Interesting Bowie was the support act (with a beard!) That reminds me of a particular moment I cant stop listening to from the 'Confront Your Demons' Mix they did (Was that post the during the Push The Button Era?) Any way theres a moment where they distortedly cut and mix in a couple of Bowie songs kind of just before and during Mero Area's "Miura" track. I think one part is the Fashion basslline loop and then another popular one. "Feel the pressure" I think the lyrics vaguely go. I feel bad I should know this... Hmmm I'm no professional dream interpreter but maybe Bowie had more of an influence on the chems than we thought?! (Unless its been documented already) I am sure a lot musicians are in debt to him in some way or another. Your the 'medium' for the chemical gods to us mere mortals Whirly tell us more prophecies! (Sorry if I'm freaking you out right about nowPosted Image).....Dream On! (Love that track by the way just thought I'd drop that in as well)
Come out from the cold and into the setting sun. It's where it all began for me (not in Afrika), like it was out of control. Then after that life was sweet. So dream on into the pioneer skies of the fourteenth century and rise from the sunshine underground.

::sigh::

It is with a heavy heart that I can now say with certainty that I cannot make this show.

I have 4 tickets in the K2 section that I need to unload. I was going to pass them off to Bosco, but from what I read before he's not going to be making the trip for the shows now!?!?! :-(

There is absolutely no way I can miss two classes for law school.

I hope everyone down there has an amazing time, though!!!!

But you can't miss school because of Tom and Ed! But this news saddens me a bit. But I understand from your point of view, so go get your 'dance' on @ the Oakland show, because after that, the fun is all over and hell breaks loose...at school that is!

.....for some reason I feel a little bit lonely at this show..

OK, so who's left:
Whirls and family
Inchem
and...and .....and that's it!

A very somber..

I just sold both my Hollywood tickets the other day. It was a tough one to swallow.

We'll miss ya, Pooter but I do understand where you are coming from and you still get to see the Chems up North so that's good!

Bosco - we will miss you too! I am glad your tickets went to a good home!

I am going with my gf to both shows probably, we are both driving up to Seattle tomorrow, so not 100% sure if she'll make the Hollywood bowl show, but I know no driving will stop me, even if it is 32 hours over this week :x

Again, not new news, but the topic is locked up in the archives, so time for a new one.

So we took our son to see Weird Al last night. It was Connor's first concert (sorry Tom and Ed, I really wanted your show to be his first please forgive us!!) And what does Connor talk about and keep asking me and stash about for a good half hour before Weird Al comes on stage? The Chemical Brothers.

I cannot believe in just 2 weeks away our spines are going to melt and our retinas are going to rupture! It's going to be awesome!

I can't wait for all the reviews and feedback and videos ( Posted Image ) you guys will all hopefully post. The Hollywood crew here seems the most hardcore and dedicated at the moment....

Would be great to get see some fans feedback from their home turf too when they do the gigs there too...Hopefully they'll all arise from the sunshine underground closer to the dates.
