I broke out the old N64 today. So you know what that means, a handfull of q-tips, some rubbing alchool and a whole lotta "hot air". X-D But anyways, I replayed one of the greatest games ever....

Zelda: Ocarina of Time

I truly feel this is the last "true" video game ever. All the games now seem only interested in making a profit or just trying to push the shock value button even further (either through graphics or violence). The world needs another great adventure game like this.

The last "true" video game for me was Resident Evil 4. And before that, yeah Ocarina of Time... I can't wait to Twilight Princess, which is gonna be great imo...

What about Mario Kart DS and The New Super Mario Bros.? Only DS games, but still very diverting games.

yep but not "epic" games. Once you have finished one, you don't spend hours searching every little secret in the game. The thing with Zelda OoT is that you feel so free in the world of the game, and you have so many secrets to find and alternative quests...

You know, the only people who dis modern games are folks who's shit is too old and busted to run em, or people who lack the skillz to compete online.

fine, but those people who lack skillz to compete online have a life! :P

I got Medic or Anti-tank... I play Special Forces or Assualt in a pinch, but I suck at sniping and support. Or I can engineer... I unlocked the automatic shotgun, that things awesome.

you know, if you and mips have the hardware to run BF2, you should check out F.E.A.R. Combat... they people who made F.E.A.R. are releasing a deluxe multi-player version for absolutely free. I've never tried the MP, I only had the warez, but it should be good, twitchy fun, more like Quake than BF, but worth checking out, for free.

sweeeeeeeeeeeet.... can't wait to get home...

I checked out the Company of Heroe's Multiplayer Beta, it's just a WW2 RTS, a genre I usually hate, but it's pretty cool, the graphics are excellent, you can zoom in until it looks like a FPSer, the terrain is deformable, you can like call in artillery strikes, then use the craters for cover.

and I got the Call of Juarez demo, which is absolutely gorgeous, even better looking than oblivion, for photorealism, and the story's pretty cool... you play like a fucked up gunslinging preacher... you have a bible for one of your weapons, you can whip it out, start preaching, and all the bad guys will stop to listen, liky hypnotized, and then you can whip out your guns and blow em away.

OH yeah, and the Dark Messiah of Might and Magic demo, that one's goregous too, but pretty much an oblivion clone, but without the huge outdoor areas.

fuck, it says it'll take 24 hours to download, AND the website for the CDkey fucked, keeps crapping out halfway through, and when I try to redo it, it says that my email's already registered.

I might turn that off and just play some BF2
