IMO, a collaboration between the Chems and Kraftwerk would reach the ∞ level of awesomeness.

Kevin Shields would be good. Took me a moment to remember the band he was in. He compiled music for Lost in Translation(well at least the awesome soundtrack) and the movie had Denmark in it, think that's a sign of respect eh?

oh yeah,

they must know each other through primal scream, wonder if it'll ever happen

kraftwerk would be cool, but i doubt it'd happen

when kraftwerk got hot chip to remix their songs, they completely re-edit'd the remix and removed all the overdubs hot chip had recorded

hot chip recorded guitar and vocals apparently, but it dount sound enough like Kraftwerk so they removed them

Kraftwerk are obsessed with preserving their image/musical concept or something,

hence theyve never released their first 3 albums on CD

I LOVE kraftwerk by the way

But their sound is totally different nowadays form what it used to be in the 70's. I don't think they are against changes.

By The Way, maybe they'll rerelease their first 3 albums but it's not sure yet.

I just realized in the shower a few days later I was technically wrong, they used the transition part of The State We're in. Just wanted to cover my ass..

Random factoid, Shields and Jonny Greenwood primarily use the same distortion pedal.

I want to see the Chems collaborate with someone like Phoenix or Justin Warfield again!

Rightfully. That song should've just been six minutes of the outro.

It's pretty simple compared to a lot of stuff, I've seen some crazy set ups.

The Chems and The Orbital would be great! i hear several similarities between swoon and lush for example.

what to think about the ultimate big beat collaboration: Fatboy Slim and The Chems?

or a psychedelic trip with Justice and The Chems?

I hear more Halcyon in Swoon than Lush. Anyone else hear it?

the lead synth of swoon reminds me of the melody that starts at 1.59

i just listened to halcyon again but i don't hear the similarities except the use of vocal samples :(
