Something about the chief sound in this track and the start/stop nature reminds me of the live Elektrobank recording on Singles 93-03, never mind the distorted bass.
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

Bizzare is the perfect description I think. I love crazy sound effects but the majority of these are annoying to my ears; from the crazy cowbells to the oow oh oow oh's at the 01:27 and onwards. It's just fucking weird! I don't get it.

1. Yes, you should usually start a new topic for questions like this (unless there's already a thread for it; I recommend you always search first).

2. AuGmEnTeD is, technically, them. It's a bootleg version of their (only) live album, Live At The Social Volume 1.

YES! :idea: I completely understand what you mean—the cowbell in Pourquoi sounds remarkably similar to that noise they added to Elektrobank (live version)! And the pacing is similar.

Ok, Pourquoi is an unreleased track that you can get with the itunes pass (if you don't know what that is read the first page of the 'iTunes Pass' thread). Right now there's no legal way to get it other than buying the pass.

It's a fun, unique, bizzare little B-side. Extremely hard to describe. They played it in some of their DJ sets (see the first page), we nicknamed it 'Crazy Cowbells' before its release because of the, well, crazy cowbells.

Ok, I haven't bothered reading all of the ten-page thread (there are only so many hours in the day unfortunately!), so many apologies if this has been discussed already (and also apologies for my somewhat knee-jerk reaction to this), but I really have to say that iTunes Pass concept is a massive load of shit. I very much doubt Tom and Ed have any say on this and it is most likely down to the cash-hungry and soon-to-be jobless dinosaurs at EMI, but what the fuck guys?? Rinse more money out of the fans, yeah brilliant idea, thanks very much. And keep it exclusive to certain geographical territories, superb.

That is total and utter shite and, to be quite frank, will only encourage people to acquire this music from illegitimate sources instead.

I work in this dire industry, so I have a vague idea (!) of how things work and I have to say this not how to do it. I really do hope EMI go down the toilet if this is how they intend to continue to treat their customers.
