So I bought 2 tickets last week to the DJ set at CentroFly on 10/24 in New York City and none of my 3 friends can go with me. Im scared that if I make the trip into Manhattan and go I will by myself the whole time. What do you guys think? Should I go? Shall I mingle with people, will they accept me and talk to me even though Im by myself.
Conflicted Chemical Fan (and this isnt in gest, Im serious). Anyone want a free ticket as well?

I went by myself because all my friends suck and don't want to go out on a tuesday night. I didn't want to take a date because it woud've sucked if i couldn't get in (especially if she could've). So I kicked it solo. I didn't make it in but there wasn't an ounce of me that cared if I would be standing in the back looking at the ground (I love dancing so even if every chick came with a boyfriend I would be down with dancing solo after a few drinks). I'm sure the club has chilling area and billions of other places you can chillax and isn't just a dance floor... so go or regret it because you'll be wondering "what if i met a chick who went solo like me" or "what if no friends was not a problem."
Tom n Ed don't Dj the states too often! What do you think you'll regret more: missing a chance to see them Dj (a once in 5 year thing) or not having a sealed deal with friends going?

also while I'm on a mad rant since I read your post again:
I mingled with people right when I got in line, probably because I was psyched but I was asking about there being an opening DJ and if they were huge chems fans (which they were since they came from reno!)

glad i could help. I'm probably more passionate about getting someone to go to a chems concert than getting someone out of suicide. I wish i could go to the ny show (unless it was another 21+ club)! I like the idea that someone had (can't remember the name) of giving the extra ticket to someone in line there, could make a good friend that way
