Then it hit me! I remembered the Discogs info on EBW 5!
http://www.discogs.c...5/release/96823
So I'm going next week to the store to get my money back and tell them they should finally consider having listening stations.
I made the same mistake on ebay 3-4 years ago, I still have my copy actually but yeah it's pretty awful. If anybody on here wants it they can have it for free!

I'm getting a little anxious about a number of things, but I get the idea that all will play out smoothly. I'm actually working for the first time in 8 months which is both good and terrible at the same time. I love the money, I don't love the working, and the job is pretty lame.
Usually I might find one or two people in my workplace that I would want to hang out with, but the people in the office where I'm working right now are, well, not people who I would even want to share an after-work drink with. :/
Still waiting for the big change to law school... Since patience is a virtue I'll go ahead and consider myself to be one of the most virtuous human beings in existence right now.
Seeing the (ex) girlfriend at the end of the month. It's going to be a visit to make or break the future with us, I think.

Yeah there are bootlegs of ebw 1-6 out there, I recall having the same thing happen where I got that crappy trance version by what's his name. I got a copy of ebw1/2 years ago and when I bought ebw 5 as well as a few others I notices the vinyl is a different thickness. Shame

Lovely day. Hearing some Muse after ages - I haven't played anything other than Further in the last one month. I can't get over it.

I am going to Washington (D.C.) and London (U.K.) for an internship and to study for 3 months (technically 10 days Washington, 3 months London). I applied to the program , The Washington Center Intern Abroad program, through my school about a month and a half ago and found out a few weeks ago that I was accepted. I leave Aug.10 which sucks cause that means.....no US further shows for me. But I will be in London area in Nov. which may work if Tom and Ed go through with the UK tour as planned. Heck if I play my cards right I may be able to go to a show in Paris (Ben_j?).
Thing that sucks now is going through the Visa application process and securing the funding to go. On the funding end I am trying to go through my provincal government who are willing to fund about half the trip (Thanks Alberta Government!). The rest will come from busaries, awards, scholarships, and the dreaded student loans (I have managed to stay away from them this long.....).
I will post a listing to see if anyone wants my tickets for the Hollywood Bowl (1 in garden w/inchem, bos; 2 in K2) and my Oakland ticket.
I COMING TO LONDON!!

So, I saw :
Day 1
SomethingALaMode live : very cool, I didn't expect their show to be that entertaining but that was very cool !
Jamiroquai : one-hour set, no Virtual Insanity...but cool to see anyway. Musically, that was perfect, but unfortunately the audience wasn't very reactive :/
Bloody Beetroots Death Crew 77 : very good ! The Bloody Beetroots kick ass live. I don't care if you don't like their music, I do and it kicks ass when played live. If I get a chance to see them again, I sure will take it !
Vitalic live : GREAT ! The show was a bit different from when I saw him in Lille in november, that was even better ! This guy rocks, I'm definitely a fan of his. Shame the audience looked bored, in fact I was the only one to move. I wish the rest of the audience had been more excited !
Day 2
Ben Harper and Relentless7 : damn was the beginning long ! A kind of 5 minutes long instrumental ballad that almost made me fall asleep ! But apart from that, that was a good show.
Pearl Jam : OH MY GOD IT'S TREMENDOUS ! I wasn't expecting them to kick my ass so hard ! Really, it was probably THE highlight of the week-end, an incredibly axesome show. I HAVE to see them live again !
APM001 : I didn't like it. The crowd was too violent, some people were even fighting. I don't get it. Why don't I get it ? CAUSE THAT WAS JUST MINIMALIST TECHNO ! Damn it, how can people go so crazy just on minimal techno ? The music was annoying, the beat was almost the same all over the set and that was very repetitive. I don't understand what made the audience so mad. Vitalic deserved way more attention ! Needless to describe how went the crowd when they, for some reason, decided to play Marilyn Mansons' "This Is Tne New Shit"...not a band I'd like to see again.
Day 3
The Gossip : suprisingly, I liked it. Beth Ditto is astronomically obnoxious, for sure, but she also has a great voice ! Sounded very good for a rock band. I dont think I'd especially like to see them again cause I'm not a big fan but that was entertaining enough.
P!nk : as for Gossip, I wasn't expecting to appreciate it but that was very good too ! The music was mostly cheesy pop but there was also some rock parts and the show was a bit impressive ! I'm absolutely not a fan of Pink's music but I can't deny the fact that she's a great showwoman.
Rammstein : yeah, Rammstein played on the same day, the same stage and just after Pink. Of course it makes no sense but at least it made me realize that Gossip and Pink weren't so bad after all. So, Rammstein were, like always, utterly great but unfortunately the audience looked annoyed ! It's incredible, in the part of the crowd where I was, I seemed to be the only one who knew the band. I really thought I was surrounded by a bunch of Pink fans who stayed just by curiosity. At least they played Du Riechst So Gut instead of LIFAD but that was a 16-song festival set. No Weisses Fleisch, no Engel. And the worst thing is that they started at half past ten so the night hadn't fallen yet, what wasted the first half of the show. I think I preferred when I saw them in Paris, last december, there were less bystanders and more fans.
Good week-end indeed. I made some discoveries and I think it was worth the 99 € I paid. I want to see Pearl Jam again now !

I envy you on seeing Pearl Jam. I was just checking out the vid of them playing Corduroy over there.
