hello guys, i always wondred if anyone has made and or attempted to remake the Live Shows of The Chemical Brothers, (old + new) because as u know I'm from The Daft Club, where numerous people have remade Daft Punks 2007 tour and as i recreated their 1997 tour, i don't know how much works here, but i haven't heard about anyone recreating anything of their shows, if so, please share, if not, well, i can probably organize something, i just started on a little re imagination of Do It Again/Get Yourself High (plus visuals), Star Guitar (maybe), Three Little Birdies Down Beats, and Hey Boy Hey Girl its not exact but its more of a remix, and i would love to contribute more to it, and i would love to hear some remakes from u guys, thanks!

I don't want to sound rude here, but it's a childsplay to recreate a Daft Punk set whereas recreating a Chems live set is an endeavour on the verge of eventual and miserable fail on all levels. The chems individualize and vary almost all their tracks live in their own special way that can hardly be copied.

I recall that a while back someone got started on a recreation of their We Are The Night setlist... it was pretty good, but never got further than Do It Again (if that). So if you were to try I'm sure it would attract some attention!
Also, Csar, Daft Punk's 1997 tour was, in my opinion, one of the shining examples of truly "live" electronic music. It was stunningly on-the-fly. And if you listen to Hoosteen's remake, it's evident that he's qualified enough to at least make an attempt at the Chems.

The mix on my sig tried to recreate some of it. maybe not actual tune combinations they have used but i tried to overlap stuff quite heavily. didnt really alter the sound of tracks like the chems have been known to do live but certainly the first twenty minutes is based on old sets they have done. Its the more midtempo but upbeat stuff. They were certainly doing something similar on the Come with us tour where the first 4 tracks were the opener from each of the first 4 albums. I'm not trying to be bigheaded but i think parts are similar to their live and dj sets.

Back around when Don't Think was released someone posted a "Live Style Mix", a mix that put together a lot of the hallmarks of the live shows using the studio versions. It kinda got buried under the rest of the Don't Think excitement. I remember it being quite good. I'll try to find it...

edit: got it!

I am not sure how hard this would be to do, but I am having a very special party later this year and I would really love to play Snow followed by Surface to Air, similar to how the Chems did it in the encores last year. Can anyone mix up something like that for me? I would be extremely grateful.

I think they used a different take of Snow for the vocals, so recreating it would probably be a challenge... why not use one of the stellar recordings from that tour?

I did a quick and dirty take on that snow surface version. Nothing special, though, it's basically the original with added snow vocals which I borrowed from the Moscow live set. I wasn't able to clean them up any better, so don't expect anything good.

I hope it's ok to post it here?

I found a better sample of the vocal hook. Hope it sounds a tad more listenable than before.
