Samples

They have a lot of information on many many artists and bands, sorted by musical genre (hip-hop, electronica and pop-rock). Be careful though, if you'd like to visit it, it's a source for major disappointment. Indeed, a lot of songs that sound original are actually filled with samples.
Here's the link to the Chemical Brothers' page:

To my surprise I came across a sweeping horn track with wild effects that chemical brothers samples on the intro of Dig Your Own Hole, before Block Rockin' Beats. (the original starts off with drumrolls and horns and then goes into a wild phased sweeping sound that the chems borrowed for their powerful intro. there's vocals saying stuff like "hey boy..., shut up old girl..., you better think..., etc..)
It's clearly sampled off this track.
Only problem. I lost contact with the guy who sampled the samples and I have no idea what track it is.
Does anyone know?

but i have some other question. When it is mentioned that samples as drums are used in songs does it mean that they just put it into and don't modified it or created the drumloops or beats on their own? So when it's said for instance "Drumbeat" played by Jim Ingram in "It Began In Afrika" does it mean they didn't made these beats and just used the loops or just parts of it additional to their own? Just as an example, what with other tracks?

Add to your list :
The Beatles
Norwegian Wood
The Chemical Brothers - "The Private Psychedelic Reel"
I've read the same on a website as well but i can't believe that. It doesn't sound like Norwegian Wood at all concerning melody...

I've downloaded several plug-ins for my fruity loops music prog. but now i realised that when i try to play them they just pull out one note! So when i try to play other notes on the octave they sound all the same. How can i fix that???? Please, i need some good ideas!

I've been watching The X-Files and just got to the episode called Jose Chung's "From Outer Space". About 1:30 into the episode, a flying saucer appears in front of a young couple in a car and beams down a few little grey men. The weird thing is, the sound the saucer makes while beaming down the aliens is the exact same sound as the start of The Chemical Brothers' Base 6. This episode is from April 1996, way too early to have been taken from the Chems track, and the sample has too much dialogue in it, so The Chems almost certainly didn't take it from the episode.
I can't find a clip of the scene on the internet, but I made a recording of the audio:

Where on earth does it originally come from?

Actually it sounds like it might have been sampled from an older movie. Or failing that it could be from some sort of industrial sound effects compilation. Yeah I'm just guessing...
