*NSYNC star JC Chasez is the latest singer to get the Basement Jaxx treatment.
The lads hooked up with JC while he was on a trip to London.
He wanted some advice about producing his solo album so he popped into their studio for a cup of tea and ended up singing on their new track.
The single 'Plug It In' is out this week.
They say the Prince-like vocals were all JC and they didn't actually expect him to sound like that. They've already remixed Justin Timberlake, but what were they expecting from his bandmate?
"Well a bit of a dubious character you expect, he's from a boyband, a big American boyband. But he turned up, he was really humble, he flattered us a lot and told us our music was great, and he seemed to know about it, it wasn't b******* so yeah, it was really good."
"He's a cool guy. I think it always helps, definitely, a bit of flattery!"
What do you guys think? It was Moby first and now the Jaxx.

What happened to the music man! I suppose they gotta pay for their expensive houses and stuff that rich people buy.
All I know is that BJaxx should do it, if I had there number i'd give them some abuse over the phone!

Even though I really hate boybands, let me remind everyone here with what happened with the kylie remix. Every was spouting off about 'how coul the chems remix her' yada yada, and look what happened a pretty decent mix. Even though I think boyband guys are bunch of fruity douches (though business smart), I'll reserve my judgement of the song untill AFTER I hear it.
not me... i was the first in post the confirmation of the remix, i always liked kylie since fever }:-) awesome ass
i still not liked the idea... :?

I'm not keen on the idea of artists I like working with "artists" who - in the fetal stages up to the dying days of their musical careers (n'sync, in particular) - were nothing more than a record executive's money making wet dream. Those horrid boy-girl band top40 fluff pops make me cringe. That's all a matter of personal taste, and the decisions of artists working with "artists" are not mine to make, even though I find the idea... unsavory. To give JC Chasez credit, I'm not a fan of his solo record but at least he isn't still in n'sync and like Justin Timberlake, is trying to break free of the n'sync mold that helped shape him. Whether or not he'll succeed without his past hanging over his head is yet to be seen. I like a few Basement Jaxx songs, but I'm not really a huge fan so this news doesn't really bug me all that much.
Now if it were the Chemicals having JC guest on their record, I admit it would be very very very difficult for me to hold my tongue and not jump to outragous conclusions and shout "WHY?!?!?!" over and over again. That just doesn't seem like their (the Chems) style to work with artists like that. Kylie is different in the sense that she's been at it for years, she's a dance artists and is a sort of pop icon like Madonna is - she has that credibility and years of experience behind her. As for the Basement Jaxx track, the best I can do is let my ears be the judge when the time comes.

I'm with Electronic Battle Warrior on this. I remember people freaking out when news of the Kylie remix hit the forum - and after the remix was on the streets people liked it, thereby reaffirming our beliefs that the Chems do have the midas touch when it comes to other people's work. Even if the original song (Slow) wasn't something we'd normally run out and listen to right away.

Go back and re-read the mess I wrote. Where was I comparing the Jaxx to the Chems? I wasn't (I was giving a sort of analogy since Kylie remix was brought up) Come on, I know better than to do that! ;)
