You should have joined us... Shoot down for two weeks, if the 3/4 set pissed you off, you had 'Le Big 4' the following weekend to look forward to and let off your rage upon other fellow metal-heads...

Go take a leak in another thread, Bloke. Let us revel in the 3/4 set we did get and feel grateful to have gotten!

You don't get it, I feel it's almost like an insult to Tom & Ed to keep bumping this thread like "omgz that was the best concert ever !" even though, clearly, it was messed up (not the Chems fault, I know).
Escape Velocity as closer of the 2009 DJ set and all the excitation that came after, that's what I call legendary. But here all the excitation came before and at the end the show was not as good as expected, even the Chems seemed to be disappointed. They couldn't even get to play Escape Velocity live at the place where they premiered it...

I won't go like Boywiththegoldeneyes saying that the show doesn't count, it just took place but it was a major disappointment. The Paris gig thread has a lot less pages but we got a 2 hour show which ended with the Reel, I think that was far more legendary !

Please just stop bumping this thread, just let it die so that this show will be forgotten forever and we can focus only on the good moments of the tour. I hope you guys will get to see a full (or at least usual festival 1 hour and a half) show soon !

I understand what you mean, Bloke. I honestly do. And I can't speak for Tom and Ed but I do appreciate your respect for any raw feelings of disappointment they may encounter whenever this show is brought up.

Nobody is saying this gig was the best ever (not even close) so I am not sure where you're getting that. Your very participation in this thread keeps bumping it. Despite the show being a shortened set, the fact is it's all "we" had this year. We weren't at the Paris gigs so what should the Coachella people talk about? And even though this show was not what would be considered legendary like the Paris gigs or whatever, it doesn't mean the experience should be put to pasture or swept under the rug because this wasn't a great show like the others. Despite the problems with this show I think the most vocal in this thread have remained positive, or at the very least have found some things to be excited about. Especially since this is a yearly festival.

This thread will eventually burn out in due time - the same as all the other multi-page Coachella threads from past years did...
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

ditto!

Even if the Chems came out with 2 Ipods and a mixer with T and E wearing miner helmets with strobe lights on them while Biff holds a flat 52 inch screen TV above his head on the stage showing the visuals from other shows from youtube in full screen because the Big LCD screen in the background doesn't work, while only performing a 1/8 of a set will still be legendary!

Bloke, you don't seem to understand me or want to understand me. I never said "festival shows don't count", I said they don't really count when compared to proper indoor gigs and all the advantages (imo) coming along with those. so stop spreading shit here and start reading other peoples' posts carefully man.

and I'd rather be at a 3/4 gig than just always those "perfect" gigs where everything goes perfectly well. it's a memory to share later, "man that one coach gig where they could only play 3/4 of their set bla bla" even tho it's disappointing at first but when you see them so very often, I do not mind some unexpected things to happen. even tho I am sorry for all those who hardly get to see them and who have to rely to this one gig and are full of expectations (and for whom festival shows fully count, which I can totally understand) then to only have a 3/4 set. and I totally understand and agree with the enthusiasm about coach 2011 here, so keep it going guys! and bloke, listen to some slayer and let it make feeling better before posting again ;)
love is all.

That was 3 months ago ! What could you say that hasn't already been said ?

I'm just disappointed that the most active thread in this section is the one about the worst gig of the tour, as if nobody cared about what else happened.
