Galvanize - Love this song, great rythmn and lyrics (9/10).
The Boxer- I like this but I would appreciate it more If I knew the lyrics, the tracks reminds me of Orange wedge.
Believe - As famously said by sneakerbeater, a really good speaker system is required to listen to this one, still trying to find one. Love the crazy high notes where it sounds like they're fucking around with a switch. I'm still surprised they're releasing this one, I was convinced the Boxer would be next.
Hold tight London - Brilliant climaxes to this song, I like it how Anna's voice is used as an instrument, fitting in with the synths (8/10).
Come inside - Massive tune, huge stomping beats. Favourite part is that awesome fuzzy hi-hat at the start and about half way through on the second build-up (9/10)
The big jump - The funkiest chems track ever. Can't get enough of that rough guitar sound and that rising/falling acid bass. Simple but effective (10/10).
Left right - I like this track. I enjoy the big shouty vocals and cool old-skool feel. Lots of other artists are talking about the situation in the world right now - why not Tom and Ed? (9/10)
Close your eyes - I'm just starting to grasp the lyrics to this song, it really is a beautiful track, the booming and crashing rythmn doesn't seem to change the chilled mood that's created - genius.
Shake break bounce - Yeah, its definately them going in a new direction, as said before it has an r'n'b feel but is still unmistakeably Chemical brothers (8/10).
Marvo ging - Its chems vs Layo & Bushwacka! Absolutely love this track, its so uplifting, very repetitive but who cares?! Superb, clicking, clacking, chugging rythmn, makes you wanna get up and make an arse of yourself (10/10).
Surface to air - What can I say about this track that hasn't been said before? Great combination of robotic bleeps and guitar basslines. Sounds like Kraftwerk meets The Strokes. Incredible (10/10).
Its taken me a while to put a review on here, mainly because I am finding it difficult to put into words what I feel for this album, and a lot of what I think has probably already been said. What I feel for certain tracks changes according to my state of mind. Some people may not like the comparisons with other artists, but I feel it best describes how I interperate it.
Overall, very pleased with Push the button but I feel it too early to compare it with other albums.

Very nice mc marsh. 8) I was wondering when you were going to put up some sort of review. This record's a lot to get your head around isn't it? Those first days of listening, maybe even first couple of weeks I felt I couldn't accurately articulate what I was hearing or feeling. Gobsmacked? Flabbergasted? You bet!
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

Definately. I think the album is brilliantly described on reviews by yourself, sneakerbeaterd and others, so it was difficult to follow up!
ps. some of the tracks I reviewed don't have marks out of 10, as I think I need more time to fully appreciate them, therefore I thought it inappropriate.

Galvanize- 7/10 I was hoping for a bone crushing, floor stomping opening ( i.e Block Rockin Beats, Music:Response), so I was thrown off by this one. Still Kicks though.Still has that throbbing bass line that hooks you.
The Boxer- 8/10 When the chorus breaks in, it reminds me of "Piku". Great Song.
Believe-8/10
Hold Tight London 6/10
Come Inside- 7/10
The Big Jump- 10/10 The Brothers in great form.
Left Right-5/10 preachy
Close Your Eyes- 3/10 my vote for chems worst song
Shake Break Bounce- 6/10
Marvo Ging-10/10 A solid groover. There's a Beatles Song on every record. The ending is just beautiful.
Surface To Air 10/10 Can there be anything more said about this one? Classic. Spiritual even.

Overall I think PTB is a solid record, and it probably will not be leaving my CD player for a while. It seems every chems record takes a while to grow on me, and I end up feeling that each one is a small masterpiece in it's own right. Even "Come with Us"...which a lot of people didn't like. Even at their weakest, the brothers' music is still galaxies beyond other dance records. I've never heard such well constructed songs in regards to dance and techno. Their influences are so palpable, yet at the same time the music is so distinctive and original, and each album is conceptual and carries its own balance of depth and darkness and feeling. I think they are the best at what they do and I know as long as we support them, they will continue to put out fantastic records.

I've written a review but I'm not entirely sure if I feel it was well-written enough or not. Overall, I just loved everything on this album. Please leave me some feedback if you read the review.
