And plus! If all the albums sounded like DYOH wouldnt that take away from its initial briliance? DYOH is my favourite too [dare i say.... of course? just quietly, that WAS Tom Rowlands most attractive era, AND he was still in his 20s! :D] ... *cough* ... besides, each of the albums follow the same basic formula dont they, i mean... the ballad, the epic, the short wierd song that only freaks say is their favourite, the obvious single, the less obvious single, at least 2 songs with a really really repetitive and explosive build up, the contraversial track that 'doesnt sound like the chemical brothers'.... hmm, i think i might be on to something here!

X-D It's great to have you back, chi. Your posts have always put a smile on my face!
This I agree with too. The Chems have proven they don't like to stagnate on a certain sound, they just keep on rolling, doing their own thing.
It's fine to have your favorite pick out of an artists catalogue, that I can understand - but with the Chems and pretty much every other artist who's in it for the long haul, there's really no going back. Times change, people change, lives change and when the music's coming from the heart that's going to change too.

yes, but...hmm, Come With Us was disapointed me because this was for me just electronic house, You know - disco dance music with special effects, Push the Button is more acoustic house - house wchich sound like playing on real drums with ofcourse special effects. I mean this two last albums are just simple house, all over the same rhythm with standard vocal, non-compicated tracks, this ain't even psychedelic. Elekrobank or even Dont Stop the Rock was has the same rhythm all over the track but this was something hard, psychedelic, weird...and of course complicated. On new album the new track are only simple pieces, without building the atmosphere and so on... I won't second DYOH album. NO!! I want more BREAKBEATS and PSYCHEDELIC tracks, like Sunshine Underground, Elektrobank, Hoops, Denmark, and Presription Beats!!This new album is good for tea with girlfriend, not for undergrund breakbeat hard-fan hearing.

Beside, in 90's chem bros was created undergrund, outstanding great music so far from comercial, today they are creating something veeeeeeery comercial and disco - dancing. But i know this style is given from the high instance - wchich is the Virgin Label (this same label has influenced the Oldfield music, they intrude themself and Mike need created more simple comercial songs apart from his long masterpieces)

the only artist i can remember who has surprised me with a "new direction" is Luke Slater (Alright on top = :'( , Wireless & Freek Funk = :D ).
I'll be honest, with PTB, it took me about 3 casual listenings to absorb it but I now think it's phenominal. :D
As others have said, I trust the chems enough to know that they won't disappoint.

Forgive me, but I can't work all of those out, can you enlighten me? Only need to do one album, take your pick!
