Hey Pinky , cool to see u enjoy bloc party...they are actually my second favorite band. I already opend a thread about them once , cause i reall really like this band , and i was so happy to see that the Chems worked with Kele for Believe! The whole album is amazing. The song "like eating glass" has a very special meaning to me i listened to it a lot when i was in a bad moment of my life....Postive Tension has a GREAT break " Why'd u had to get...SO FUCKING USLESS!" Just love it. Banquet and Helicopter are great , So here we are is just amazingly beautifull and compilments is a great song to have sex on i think haha, it's just very slow and rythmic in a way. Yeah,ACIDCHILDREN ,Jeanie...I like Bloc Party very very much as well .
Especially, Kele's vocal ' Believe ' is too cool.
His voal suits The Chems beats really.
Silent Alarm album = 80's new wave ish and cool bass + guitar + drum !!
Brits rocks ,dance music = modern ...and unique sophistcated beats....
UK music are the coolest !!
I think so...

I really dig Silent Alarm, it's a great record that has a very raw and organic feel to it. They are one of those bands that has a real spark to them, you can hear it in their music - these people have a very bright future and they seem to have good heads on their shoulders. What I also like about Bloc Party (aside from thinking Kele is drop dead sexy - there, I admitted it! ;) ) is the band's overall sense of modesty and humility. There's no swagger, there's no phony get up, there's no "rock star" attitude. Maybe it has to do with the fact they are a young band, but I also feel that with Bloc Party the music is first and foremost. They just want to play music, and contrary to a lot of other bands I occasionally read about, they don't have this insane desire to "break" the US market, they just want people to get something out of what they do.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

Did most of you immediately like this band, or did they have to grow on you for a while? Just wondering, because when i first heard them, i didnt like them at all, but strangely felt an urge to listen again, and now i like them a lot. (still think they need more soloing though)
