You have to try to get to the BDO, mate. :)

Personally I think the BDO gigs will be the start of their album tour, so they probably won't be back down here for the rest of 2005.

The Chems really are the only reason i'm going to the BDO next year, if they weren't playing, I wouldn't be interested at all. It's a steep asking price, but trust me their live show is worth the money and then some. I'm also keen to finally get a Chems shirt... woohoo!

I wouldn't bet on ChV showing too much footage; they didn't last time. :(

The two times I've seen the Chemicals play live was at a festival out in California. The Chemical Brothers were the only way I could drag my husband's ass out into the sweltering desert for a weekend and nearly strapping us in financial ruin. Oh, that and threatening to make him sleep on the couch might've had something to do with his final decision... j/k ;) My hubby, well he just doesn't think a good time involves hearing a bunch of loud music out in the middle of a godforsaken desert. I can understand that - so if he agreed to do that for the Chemical Brothers and had a fantastic time, then that says a lot about the whole experience.

I am particularly glad I went to the fest during the Come With Us tour. They had no other gigs in Southern California, if I didn't go to Coachella I would've missed out!

I know that money is always an issue, but if your mother is willing to pay for for your ticket and she isn't worried about you going to a festival, I'd say don't miss Big Day Out. Plus it says something about you if she trusts her 15 year old son to go to a concert.

You gotta go, it's practically a free ride, handed to you on a silver platter, the scales are tipped in your favor!!! Please don't miss Big Day Out. If you do, you might regret it later and you won't be able to forgive yourself!

Just think about it.

What could be a better bd present than seeing the Chems live performing their tracks in unique arrangments, with the inspiring visuals and cool lasers? That would be a bd present to remember. If I was in your position I would go without question! However, if you have any genuine reasons not to go (maybe safety?) then I would say at least have a good think. 8)

Take the ticket.... take the ticket! Take it!

/Fear and Loathing

Remember it's not just the chems playing, you'll get to see many other bands play too. If I was you, I'd definately go see them play. Who knows when they'll be back, and you'll get to hear the new songs live before the album comes out! What could be better than that!

Oh, and in my experience, when I was a young-un (not that long ago) and my pez said "well if you want that it's all you're going to get for your bday" they'd always chuck in something else anyway ;)
