This old man,

He don't need no music sheets,
but with a snip-snip-snippy-snip
gave his mop a chop,
Old man hairstyles are a flop.

I heard both tracks in its entirety. Both tracks has its moments but something is missing from the tracks....oh I don't know maybe ED?
Both satisfyingly solid crunchy electronic tracks though.

I could see how the tracks have something missing, but I think they're fucking fantastic. We'll see how Ed influences the next bit of Chems' music that comes out however far into the future that may be.

I really enjoy these tracks, I finally have a decent soundsystem for my car with which to blast these fine specimens of quality tunage! Yay! They do feel they are missing something in the sense these are not Chemical Brother(s) tracks. I have yet to put my finger on the Ed element, though!

Nothing But Pleasure tends to ramble a bit but there are enough builds as the song reaches its peaks to keep me interested. I get the feeling from both tracks that they are meant to be played in the context of a mix. It's fascinating how everyone's tastes are different - I enjoy Nothing But Pleasure more than Through Me! I absolutely love the builds and how the song escalates and intensifies. It feels electric and makes my hair stand on end. I like how dirty and sexy this sounds.

I got a car recently that has an upgraded Bose soundsystem. It's not considered the best in the world, but coming from a lifetime of mainly stock sound systems in previous cars, it is a massive improvement. When there's bass (like, Under The Influence or Snow level type bass), I get a nice back massage while I drive. That's a good bonus, I think, haha!

This whole "Ed Element" is going to torture me until I have enough time to digest these tracks and see them as stand-alone songs written by Tom and not The Chemical Brothers...

Yeah I'd second that. And the fact that people on this forum had noticed/discussed 'Pleasure' rather than 'Through Me' in dj sets prior to release makes me think there must be others who are more taken with 'Pleasure'. Both tracks do feel more like EBWs for the dancefloor rather than rounded tunes. Whether or not that means Ed is good at turning tracks into rounded tunes I'm not sure...

Sorry, Tom, but I had no pleasure while listeing to "Nothing But Pleasure". There are some enjoyable parts, though, like the little drum interlude and some synth tweaks here and there. Apart from this, the entire track sounds just overly repetitve to me but in a negative way. That main synth-bass theme get's a bit annoying and tedious after a while, especially after this three minute intro.

Through me, on the other hand, was really nice to listen to.

I love both tracks, can't wait to blast them out at our party tomorrow night. I've heard both tracks played during their DJ sets, in a club atmosphere they work real well.
Further Remixed There's nothing else...
